Goran Dragic Records Triple-Double

Post#1 » by noobcake29 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 4:09 am

11 pts, 11 assists, 11 rebs.

In last three games as a starter (Rockets went 2-1) Goran average:

PPG:13,3
APG:8,3
RPG:10,3
SPG:1,7
BPG:1
MPG:45
TO:1,3

He is also shooting .55% from 3-Point Range since being a Rocket.

Do you regret the tradee?

I love the Dragon but I have to say NO. I bet he wont do that again for a long time because he's a guy who's confidence can easily be shattered and that's what always frustrated me with this guy. I like Brooks better and if this guy comes into training camp with the Suns I guarantee all of you doubters are going to love him next season TRUST ME

Always felt the Rockets won the deal (AND we're giving a 1st rounder to the Rockets as well!!!!).
It hurts because I just felt he wasn't given the opportunity this year because Robert Sarver's reluctance to spend has placed an insane amount of burden on Steve Nash. And then Alvin Gentry would have to play Nash for 30+ minutes so we can have a chance to be in the playoffs.

Gosh I hate watching the Suns. One year you're a step away from the mountain top and the next you're this close to rock bottom. Why of all teams did I become a Suns fan?

Hate the trade. If our front office screwed up then, they could screw up again this offseason. That is why I dont have any faith in them at the moment.

Love Brooks, love the Rockets - as u all know too well.

But from Suns standpoint, cannot understand why they'd do that deal. Brooks needs minutes. Lots of them. If Nash is going to stay and Suns are not willing to pay Brooks more than 3-4 million (and all indications are pointing yes for both of these issues), there is no way Brooks will be in a Suns uniform next year.

Just can't understand why you'd give up a really good player who doesn't cost too much (Dragic) and a really good first-round pick to "lease" a player for a few months.

What was that thinking?

Its was a horrible trade! Brooks is awful and he is not an asset. Goran was instrumental in beating the spurs IN THE PLAYOFFS!! in game 3 and 4. Brooks doesnt pass, rebound, or defend. His shot is erratic and he is not a team player. I hate this suns FO!!!!!!

I don't even feel like this discussion is necessary. It was made clear that this trade was done for reasons on and off the court. Goran wasn't sticking around here regardless.

He was awful for us this year. It was reported that his work ethic went way down this season. He lost a ton of confidence. Do I regret losing him because he gained back some confidence going to another team with different players in a different system, where he recorded a triple double playing 45 minutes? No.

I will admit the trade stunk, giving up a first rounder and all.

I've never liked Brooks and have always liked Dragic's potential. The guy is humble, he learns well and he's a great locker room guy. Don't know why we had to move him for Brooks. I know we needed some scoring off the bench, but that was hardly the root of our problems. No way we should've moved Dragic for Brooks. I said this even before Dragic "exploded" in Houston.

The way I see it, we made this trade just to make a trade. We would have been the same team we were (+/- some wins but still out of playoffs) had we kept Dragic.

**** worthless trade for worthless reasons. Dumbest thing I've seen in a while. We **** up so badly. I don't give a damn what anyone says about the regression Dragic had in the early part of the year. The entire **** team regressed. Instead of having a dynamic guard stud who's proven his worth to the franchise, now we're out that guy AND a first round pick. And for what, a worthless cancerous chucking douche who's gone in the offseason anyway?

I seriously have the urge to get violent.

Hated the trade then, hate it now but trying to believe there's a method to the madness, bog picture etc and we'll see over the summer what happens. If it ends up being what it looks like - Gogi and a pick for Brooks and we dont; keep him then .... finger-pistol at head, pulls trigger, rocks backward out of chair

I hope there's a master plan, and I;'m also afraid there is

Hope Goran has a long, successful career

Brooks sucks.

He is midget, shoot first, no defense PG. He is no star PG and he doesn't give you anything you want from a role player PG either.

Throw in questionable character and that he wants more money than what he is worth. Just let him go and accept having made yet again a terrible trade giving away picks for nothing. Just do not make it even worse by overpaying this guy now..

Dragic is no better than Brooks really. Brooks hasnt panned out how I expected, since he came back from his injury this season he hasnt been nearly the same player. Im more bummed about losing the pick though than losing Dragic. Both Dragic and Brooks are too streaky for my likes.

I don't know why the Suns couldn't have just thrown in several 2nd round picks instead of a first. Bad deal in my opinion.

Not really true. Dragic was one of the least productive rotation players in the NBA this season while he was with Phoenix.

Glad he's doing well though
