He's widely considered to be a top 3-5 pick. He's not underrated at all. In fact, I think this board is probably the one that overrates him the most.

I like the comparison too for style of play. Just that he could easily be a Deng in style who's Pietrus/Barnes in impact, if that makes sense
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I merged the Derrick Williams declaring thread with the draft thread.

Everyone will be reaching with their picks. If it's not a top 3, I don't want BC (or whoever) to reach for Kemba or Knight or....Donatas. Dear god, trade down and get the guy you want at the same time.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

If the scouting reports turn out to be truth about Kanter than we should take a shot a develop him since those are a lot harder to come by. We shall see how the workouts turn out for Kanter but from what I hear - John Calipari has given some high praises for his rebounding fundementals, he smoked Nazr Mohamed during workouts. Looks a like player who's strong and agile for his size, something we've lacked for a long time.

I agree, that's why if we are trying for an FA C I'd much rather target a DeAndre/Gasol rather than a guy like Chandler... it's better getting a younger guy that already looks solid that can continue to develop with our young talent. Unfortunately, other teams will be thinking the same thing, and they are both RFAs that will probably get matched. And sadly, we don't have the luxury of knowing who we can land in free agency before the draft.

At this stage in Chandler's career, he's more likely to want to be in a contending situation though, so I wouldn't see him coming here unless it was ridiculously overpaying (and even then, Cuban will probably do that anyways).

I hope we get 1st pick, get KI. Somehow miraculously net us another late lottery pick in return from bargnani trade. Sign Marc Gasol, draft Terrence Jones and develop him slowly.

C: Gasol
PF: Davis
SF: Jones
SG: Derozan
PG: Irving

That's a playoff team for sure.

I hope we draft Williams or Barnes, trade for Rubio (say Amir, if they draft Kyrie whats the point plus they would have a solid back PF for a few years) and sign DeAndre....that''s a dream off season.

Rubio/Bayless/Calderon
DeRozan/Barbosa
Barnes/JJ/Kleiza
Davis/Bargnani/Evans
Jordan/Bargnani/Alabi

Ohhh hell yeah! lol

My draft board is just like most of you guys with Irving, Williams, Barnes, Kanter. But damn, if we get the 3rd pick and take Kanter, it just might mean Bargs is shipped out that much faster. I know it's inevitable but the urgency that comes from drafting a C this summer would just confirm the moment we've all been waiting for is near.

I hope Barnes changes his mind. A week ago his Mother supposedly leaked to an Iowa reporter that he planned on staying, but a lot can change in a week. If he plans on staying I'd expect him to announce it before or during the banquet tonight. Apparently he just told a member of the media that there's no timetable for his decision so if we don't hear anything by tonight then I might start getting my hopes up. I always felt that he would return to UNC but he's looking at being picked top 3. Who knows but I'm glad he proved the haters wrong in the 2nd half of the season.

Sources say Wolves, Cavs, Raptors, Jazz and Kings would all take Kyrie Irving 1. Wizards, Pistons & Bucks - Barnes or Derrick Williams

pipe dream scenario if we end up #3

1. Detroit Pistons/Milwaukee Bucks- Derrick Williams
2. Washington Wizards- Enes Kanter (after crazy good workouts & hype)
3. Toronto Raptors- Kyrie Irving

Piston doesn't want Irving? That's weird. I was hoping Thorton would solidify his SG spot to have Tyreke as PG...if they take Irving so prolly move Tyreke to SF?

I expect the Wolves to pick Irving too because of their uncertainty with Rubio and they don't really need HB or DWill in the lineup.

 if the Bucks pass on Irving to keep Jennings

And good for the Wolves. Kahn will probably get made fun of for taking another PG, but this one would be the right decision imo.

Just like how we pasted on Iggy because we needed to keep VC. If Bucks get a tenth pick in the draft, would it be a good idea to trade Bargnani for that pick and some of their worse contracts in return?

There's an article on ESPN about every lottery teams needs for the draft. Could someone who's an insider please post this?

Thanks

Not sure if you saw this, since it was inthe offseason thread, but I proposed this and most people seemed to like it:
TOR out: Bargs, Alabi
TOR in: Najera, Diop, MIL 1st

MIL out: Maggette, 1st
MIL in: Bargs, Alabi

CHA out: Najera, Diop
CHA in: Maggette

Rather have two scrubs that won't complain about not being played than someone like Maggette who would expect minutes.

I'd rather have a top ten pick for the 2012 draft (it'll be stacked) for Bargs and hopefully we can tank harder next yr and we'll be guaranteed 2 good prospect to build upon following season afterwards. 3 prospects to develop along w/ Davis and Demar.
Masai's to do list
Trade - Ibaka
