Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?
With Utah out of the playoffs, and my NBA addiction still going strong, I'm going to have to root for another team. Not that I want to, but hey, I love playoff basketball.
For me, I'm looking at Chicago to take it all, and rooting for Portland as my western darkhorse.

Re: Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?
I'd like to see the Spurs win because I love Duncan, and it'd put him up to 5 rings just like Kobe, with out the help of ever playing next to a guy like Shaq.
Then probably the Heat, I would love to see them shut everyone up about it not working.
I really hate most teams in the playoffs this year.

Re: Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?
Everyone who isn't the Lakers, Heat or Knicks. Mostly anyone but the Lakers.
Specifically I'm cheering for the Spurs and Thunder in the West and I'm cheering for the Bulls, Celtics and Magic in the East. My three biggest teams are the Spurs (they remind me of the old school Jazz), Bulls (I love the ex-Jazz players, Thibs, Rose and the team as a whole) and the Thunder (Love KD, Westbrook, Serge, Maynor and their coach plus they are just good guys and have great fans).
I'm really hoping for a Thunder and Bulls final.

Bulls from the East (I can't believe I said that, but I like Rose on so many more levels than I ever did Jordan, plus I love seeing the former Jazzmen play well), and the Thunder out of the West. I can't wait to see Kobe AND Lebron get punked before the Finals even begin!

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Bulls in the East.
In the West I think I'll just root for an upset every round.

Re: Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?
I find it hard to believe that any team with Boozer is a good defensive team, but I like to see defensive teams get rewarded so Bulls in the East.
In the West I'll be watching the Lakers. Their time is short and I would rather just see them stay at top for this year, rather than one of the other teams get crowned as another champion. Then I hope they lose in the finals to the Bulls.

He was averaging 15/10 the first time they won a ring together, 8/8 the second time.
Shaq was averaging 30/13, 29/13, and 27/11 in their championships together.
For a good comparison, O-Tag in his sophmore season was averaging almost identical stats per 36 as Robinson was during his last season.

**** the Lakers and the Heat. I'll take anyone else.
Like the Spurs since, I'm a big Duncan and Ginobili fan and they also have my fellow countryman Splitter. I'd like to say I like the Nuggets, since they have Nenê and Melo is outta town, but I don't think they have a shot and being a Jazz fan, it's hard to like the Nuggets.

Lakers, Heat, and Celtics headline my "**** these punks" list. Chicago and OKC are the guys I'm rooting for. I also find Denver infinitely more likable than before.

- I won't be rooting for any other team, but I won't be mad if the Thunder goes all the way through...
- It would be extremely disgusting if he Heat win the rings; don't like James at all and Ru-Paul is an idiotic pussycat; I'd prefer the Lakers a thousand times; at least they're though dudes....
- I really don't want the Bulls to win a championship; I watched those finals and I really cannot forget hoy Jordan got phantom whistle after phantom whistle all series long while he an his gang were allowed to do all the stuff they wanted... A Jazz fan shouldn't root for them; it would be just perverse

I don't like the Spurs but they do represent quality and honesty and fidelity. The Lakers, to be honest, are on this level too but they have a lot of advantages built in. The Heat though do not represent these qualities. I don't think the Celtics or Knicks do either.

Re: Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?
Normally I would agree with you but their current roster and coaching staff is nothing like the Bulls of old. The only thing that's the same and dis-likable about them is the name across the jerseys.outerspacefella wrote:I really don't want the Bulls to win a championship; I watched those finals and I really cannot forget hoy Jordan got phantom whistle after phantom whistle all series long while he an his gang were allowed to do all the stuff they wanted... That would be like still hating the Nuggets because Melo USE to play for them....although I still hate them because of the Bird and K-Mart but that's besides the point.

Fair enough (I just couldn't resist).
Put simply, Duncan has been THE MAN on every title team he's been on. And you're right, Kobe can't say that.

I think I might cheer for the Celtics. I like the Bulls but I'm so sick of their whiny and needy fans.
