By the way, there is absolutely nothing telling us that we would have been better off had Silas been our coach since training camp. It was more of a subtle combination of things that prompted Silas to portray the savior here, anything else is just pure extrapolation.

silas was 25-29 46.3%
lb was 9-19 32.1%

pacers 37-45 45.1%

46.3% > 45.1%
46.3 > 32.1%

Throw in the Wallace trade AND the injuries (how many games did we play with nine guys?) and you have a hell of an effort by Silas to keep the team competitive.

honestly, the coaching job by silas this year is one of the best coaching jobs i have seen from a coach here in charlotte (including the hornets). its amazing what he was able to do considering the circumstances
- taking over team mid-season with an entirely new staff
- trading best player for draft picks
- losing key starters to lengthy injuries
- having one center on roster for last 2 months

and still playing 50/50 ball
