team mvp: Jax - because when he is "on" he is elite, but when he is "off" he can ruin you.

most improved: DJA - because he was finally given freedom.

biggest surprise: Kwa-Man - because he has legitimate post moves, including counter moves.

most disappointing: Tyrus - because he couldn't stay healthy.

best win: 7:00 pm EST Mon Dec 27, 2010 Vs Detriot - 1st game under Coach Silas. The mood was awesome.

worst loss: 8:00 pm EST Wed Dec 15, 2010 Vs Memphis or 7:00 pm EST Mon Dec 20, 2010 Vs Washington - the game Vs Memphis turned into a layup line/alley oop extravaganza for them as they blew us out by 30. The game Vs Washington another 30 point blow out (both under Brown)

best dunk of the year: Blake Griffin over Mozgov..........oh, you mean by us? The T2 one.

best block of the year: Hendo on Ed Davis.

most impressive single game performance: Jax and his triple double.

favorite gamethread: The original Lolcat thread.

team mvp: Has to be Jax...but I'm tempted to say Crash, as his presence was surly missed following the trade.
most improved: Henderson: the man goes from barely playing to being a reasonably consistent starter by end of year. DJA would be 2nd, but he still disappoints too many nights.

biggest surprise: For sure it was Kwame. He's not the Answer, but I hope he's part of the solution again next year.

most disappointing: Diaw...for the usual reasons, but especially because when we needed him to really step in and step up, he never changed. Every 5th game he produced. I cannot wait to say goodbye to him...and his segway.

As for the other categories, I feel the season was such a dissapointment, I'll leave it to others to identify their opinions. I forget my original prediction in W-L, but I did predict the Cats would miss the playoffs. Had the Brown fiasco played out in the offseason, with Silas here for training camp, who knows? We probably would have reached the post-season again, but would Crash be gone? I think the team had to position itself for the future and shed some contracts.

To achieve MJ's goal of contender in 3 years, we must win 3 key events:

> Results of this year's draft: Our ping pong ball gets us into the top 3 picks, and we hit on a decent player with the other pick.
> Young players produce: Henderson develops into the real deal at SG, DJA plays well enough to be traded for a quality player downstream, Tyrus becomes good enough to start, and both Cunningham and DJW provide quality depth.
> MJ gets us the big star free agent (Paul or similar) in 2012.

Miss on some or all of these and we are mediocre for at least another 5 years.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Team MVP: Jack, albeit in a pretty underwhelming season. He played some uninspired ball under LB and the hamstring injury brought his numbers down and concurrently derailed the playoff chances. Hopefully he'll heal up and report to camp in good shape - he's running out of time.

Most Improved: Henderson. Most of us knew Augustin had the necessary basketball skills and that removing LB would free him up, but Henderson still had a lot of question marks in terms of skillset. He's definitely polishing his game at a quick rate.

Biggest Surprise: Kwame, even though I thought he played some disappointing ball between the KwaMVP phase and April. But overall, he basically revived his career and showed some actual ability.

Most Disappointing: Diaw. Every night you still have to wonder if he's engaged in the game; for a skilled veteran, that's unacceptable. I've grown very tired of Bonnell offering excuses for him and referring to how valuable he is. Get a real power forward (Tyrus isn't the answer, even healthy) and it'll be a major difference.

Best Win: The home Portland game, when Wallace returned.

Worst Loss: So many inexcusable ones to inferior teams during every point of the season. Any loss against Indiana would be a fair choice.

Best Dunk of the Year: I don't really keep track of dunks and blocks.

Most Impressive Single Game Performance: Jack's triple double.

Favorite Gamethread: The Minnesota one from last season, lol.

team mvp?

DJ. Didn't miss a game that gives him an edge. Carried us all along the season.

most improved?

tie betwen DJ a nd Hendo

biggest surprise?

Najera. i though he would be just a dead weight, who would say he would be that likeable. I had faith in Kwame but he exceeded my expactions once Diop was done for season. HM White and Cunningham especailly Dante as Bobcats had to be up to something with that Mohammed-White trade but Cunningham seemed like just a throw in when the deal was done.

most disappointing?

I can't make myself to say Crash. Livingston, I expected more, bit i can't get mad on him. Most frustrating was sureyl Diaw and the injuries.

most impressive single game performance?

DJ's 31 (25 in half) against Philly. Thanks Lamar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9N21KF-BT4

favorite gamethread?

The lolcat vs lolwolves one.

MVP: Jack - he drove me nuts, he made me swear a lot, but he brought the heat most nights.

MIP: Hendo - i'd put DJ here, but there was markedly more improvement this season from Hendo than there has been with DJ. First priority in the off season - WORK ON THEM HANDLES.

Quote from the most controversial rap group af all time: Surpriiiiise **** - Kwame, i'd like to keep him around, he could easily be an asset down the road as a back up, when MJ gets us an upgrade.

Dun duuuuun: LB, need i say more. Ok LB's man love, Diaw. Actually there were too many to count. The Melo dream, the CP3 dream, the Wallace trade, the Brick signing, the return of Carroll...

Win: Lakers, everytime, every year.

Loss: Against the Grizzlies. That game pretty much sealed LB's fate here.

Dunk: Don't know, one of TT ones i guess.

Block: Wallace on Pachulia, good Lord...

Single game performance: DJ vs Philly. Henderson's performance against Orlando 2nd.

GT: The playoffs thread....oops my bad.

The players face i wanna smash: QBit*h

My dream: I pray that Rod Higgins gets lost and MJ hires Kevin Pritchard.

team mvp: Crash. A pity he was gimpy for us most of the season but you could really measure his importance to the team after he was traded. Jackson, while always a nice player to count on has had a somewhat disappointing year and failed to prove he could carry this team on most nights.

most improved: Henderson - Really showed flashes of brilliance and is slowly becoming the player we all wanted him to be. I have always been a supporter of his including in the early season when a lot of people would write him off.

biggest surprise: Cunningham - I did know he was serviceable but not that useful and reliable. Makes Tyrus totally expendable.

most disappointing: Toss between Tyrus and Augustin. However I am more enclined to say Tyrus because of injuries and his failure at capitalizing when he was given the chance. Poor BB IQ ruins it all. DJ is what he is and his play will probably not evolve any further due to his own limitations. Nothing against him but he just should not be our starting point.

best win: Cannot really put my finger on one game but there were quite a few where the whole team fought back until we managed to scratch out the win. Those kind of make you proud to support these cats.

worst loss: The 30 point blow out against Washington. Without a doubt.

best dunk of the year: The Augustin alley pass from mid-court beautifully punctuated by D Brown.

best block of the year: Cunningham on Garnett.

most impressive single game performance: Both triple doubles (Jax and Diaw).

team mvp : Jackson, as always, he cost us some games, but he's still the Captain
most improved? Henderson, no question
biggest surprise? Kwame/Cunningham (+ the Wallace trade if that counts)
most disappointing? Hmm... Probably Tyrus I guess. He wasn't that bad, but I expected better from him.
best coach : Silas
worst coach : LB

most improved: Henderson - this one was easy, the man went from D-League player to our teams second best player and Clutch performer.
biggest surprise: Kwame Brown - he beats out Henderson for this one, as he played very efficient ball for us..
most disappointing: Larry Brown - Why everyone is selecting T2 I dont know, clearly LB was the biggest dissapointment for the Cats, maybe even for the league...
best win: The win vs the Celtics with half our team..... That was damn insane, we should have been raped that game.
worst loss: The Wizards 30 point loss.....
best dunk of the year: T2 one
best block of the year: Cunningham blocking Garnett
most impressive single game performance: Diaws Triple double was pretty damn solid...
favorite gamethread: the original LOLcat one
