Westfail's rotations are terrible, and if your name isn't Evans, you'll go from starting, to being the 6th man, to not playing at all for several games in a row, and then suddenly starting again. There needs to be a solid lineup at the beginning of next season, and not this "let's experiment for half a season and then finally pick a lineup as the season winds down" again.

Agreed, but Casspi just isn't very good, and he needs to keep his damn mouth shut. Does he have a right to be upset and confused about his role? Sure, but that doesn't mean he should comment about it in the media.

Casspi is NOT a player that should be starting in this league, and he most likely never will be.

I think Casspi could be a very good starter in this league. I think his role was changed and he tried to turn himself into a beyond the arc catch and shoot guy and forgot about his driving and pull up jumper game. Last year he played better because he was able to attack and be aggressive. I think PW neutered Omri somewhat and confused him as to what his role was going to be. The guy grabs boards, plays aggressive and can hit the outside shot. With this young of a team, these players need to be given consistent minutes and allowed to grow especially if he is viewed as the SF of the future for this team.

Casspi's good, and IMO a better prospect than Donte. Difference is Donte is far more consistent defensively.

I have a feeling that our real SF comes via the upcoming draft, trade, or FA signing. Plugging that SF hole with a Battier, Prince, Barnes, AK-47, or somebody else is a real possibility that would IMO solidify this team as a legit playoff contender next year under the right system.

I agree. I think we have found 3 starters in cousins, evans, and thorton for the future. If we could fill the 3 spot and another big man spot with solid vets I think we could have a shot at the playoffs next year. Right now we have a poor mans version of that with cisco and dally and it is working pretty well. Hopefully caspi can be a part of our future whether he is in the rotation or used as a trading piece.

if he wants to go, just give what he want. trade him, if we need to include beno to get another 1st round pick 11-15 range, ill do that then i will draft jordan hamilton on that pick. hamilton is very underated, hes only sophomore and hes already the best sf in college this year. i dont think we have a chance to get derrick williams on our own pick, if we dont get williams or barnes, hamilton is the best sf available. the reason i include beno on trade because we dont need him if the kings draft guard on their own pick. hamilton was upgrade over casspi. if he wants to go, just give what he wants afterall hes not that special

Actually, his value is also the biggest out of the SFs we got due to him comming from Israel and being Jewish.

I also think PW preety much made him suck - I mean last season you could see he was playing alot better and showing more promise, this year he's so afraid while on the floor to do the wrong thing he just gets the ball, pass ot around, feed Cousins at the post(he actually does it the best in our team), and spot up a 3 - but thats his offensive game.

On defence, which is the main thing why he doesn't say gametime, it's ALL on Omri.. he just flat out sucks.. the way he gets stuck in picks and doesn't even try to fight through it causing auto switchs every single time can make me loose my mind..his lateral movement on defence sucks too and I don't know if thats something he can actually improove... what he does need to learn and compensate for it, is learning the angles, those litte tricks and how to be alot more pesky and make an offensive player loose thier mind and be upset - that will all make him ALOT better at defending.. cause right now he's a real amataur.

Omri Casspi had a half of a half of a rookie season where he looked great. Since then he hasn't looked the part night in and out. Combine that with the fact Francisco Garcia is better than him doesn't bode well for him.

With Greene and Casspi they are both inconsistent players that need time to grow. You can argue both aren't fully NBA ready.

"Casspi, who has averaged 8.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 69 games so far this season, claimed that there is plenty of interest in his services from other teams in the league."

This is what makes me question the story. He and his agent aren't allowed to talk to other teams about their interest in his services. The writer is full of it.

I wouldn't say that Garcia is "better" than him per se. He provides more of what this team really needs moving forward though and that's an experienced player that doesn't need that time to develop. Honestly, I think Casspi will be a very good player, but this team is looking for a solid vet that while may have less of a ceiling than Casspi, will provide those intangibles game in, game out and you don't have to worry about the inexperience getting in the way from time to time. If I were rebuilding or needed talent/scoring from my SF spot I'd go Casspi. Thornton coming in just absolutely tips the scales though so Casspi won't have the offensive opportunities he's probably deserving of on the right team.

Again, this is based on Omri's own words. You can find it at Casspi's official site:

Nothing on the Bucks interests me at all. Not Bogut, not Jennings, and not your pick. We maybe the pick, how about Casspi for #10?

Maggette is a cancer, and can gladly stay with the Bucks until his contract runs out.

do all nba centers grow on trees in sacramento?
i hear you with jennings tho. i thought maybe the idea of playing him out there close to home might make you want to take a flyer on him instead of some of the other young guys you have.
not wanting the pick is just trying to bait me so i wont bite there.

my side thinks this deal is awful for us anyway. i guess when you try to make trade partners between teams whose assets are either a)young and currently awful... or b) recently hurt and/or underperforming..... you get overvalued opinions and blowoffs from both sides.

so bad trade partners i suppose. weve got too much of ours and youve got too much of yours to bother with a swap it seems.
