There was a little controversy with last year's winner, but this one was a given from pretty much early on in the season.

Blake has accomplished so much in his rookie season that he's going to have a lot to live up to next season. Even though he was an all-star and will be named rookie of the year, the thing that I'm most thankful for is that he played in all 82 games. He's mentioned many times that the talk of him being a bust or that the Clipper Curse strikes again annoyed him. For him to log as many minutes as he did and not miss a single game has silenced a lot of the critics that were wallowing in doom and gloom scenarios regarding his health.

Aside from the highlights, his effort, work ethic and his overall influence on his teammates are the most impressive features of his game imo. He still has areas of his game that need improvement (defense, free-throws, jump shot, etc.), but I have no doubt that he'll work hard this offseason to tackle a few of those weaknesses. He's given the franchise hope of a bright future and has put the ball in the court of the front office to make some serious moves to elevate the performance of this team to become a contender in the future. The Clippers were the 8th biggest draw on the road and have sold out countless games this season and Blake is the reason why.

I knew that Blake Griffin had a great rookies season, but I didn't realize all the accomplishments he racked up. There's no doubt that he is our best player, but early on I think it was close between Blake and EJ as to who was our best player. I think we would have had a tighter race if EJ would have been able to stay healthy most of the season. However, Blake is very deserving of our Mr. Clipper award.

I look forward to Blake and EJ improving next year. I think the wrist injury EJ had was bothering him more then he would say. I noticed that he struggled more to handle the ball and he wasn't finishing like he used to. Good thing is his jump shot seemed to be OK. I have no doubt that Blake will work hard to improve on his weaknesses in the off season. Hopefully we will have two all stars next season :)
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
