Scrub is a harsh term...but Perkins is definitely one of the most overrated players in the NBA based on how people reacted to him getting traded. It was almost as bad as when people acted like Ariza was the next Scottie Pippen when the Lakers chose Artest over him. Shaq when he's healthy(1st 30 games of this year)is still a superior player than Kendrick Perkins.

I was on board for years with the idea of Horford at Center. However, that demanded another player to help out. Apparently, the only way to get Horford some help inside is with a true Center.

Moving players around in trades is worthless unless one of those trades gets a Center in here. A strong Center. Not a Kaman or a Thabeet but a big man with muscle, like Kendrick Perkins.

Perkins is a scrub and was a product of KG

He provides single coverage on Dwight without fouling out and playing long minutes. Just like Jason Collins just did tonight. He gums up the opposing offense.

I'd say Perkins is a bit better than Collins, he's also a lot younger.

I never said Perkins is an allstar, I said he's a strong Center. Against Howard, you need a heavyweight.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Thabeet wouldn't be a bad body to throw at Dwight even if that is all he can do. 7'3 268 that can jump would alter alot of Dwight's shots and stop alot of and 1's he got. I still say see if we can get him for cheap, like in a Marvin deal for Jordan Hill, then we should do so. Then trade Zaza for Casspi or Babbit and Fernandez in Portland. Sign Pryzbilla for like the MLE.

Perks a bit overrated BTW. He is a hard nose defender, but he isn't worth a whole lot unless the fit matters.

What do you guys think about a Marvin/Zaza for Bargnani trade

It's been mentioned a lot on our board, seems logical for both teams, no?

I'd assume that you'll get a divided reaction around here. Personally, I'd be OK with it, but I know that others don't like Bargnani that much.
