2011 GAME THREAD

Post#1 » by mjhp911 » Fri Apr 1, 2011 5:29 am

Bay on the DL to start the season, Beltran makes opener, Harris to start in left, Izzy continues spring training in Florida, Big Pelf starts in the opener...

Let the games begin!

Its going to be a long season, if everything breaks right we might be able to make some noise in the division. The starting pitching is what really scares me esp since Johan is going to be out.

Lets Goo Metssss !!!

mets aren't gonna be as bad as every moron makes them out to be, the team won 79 games last year with castillo, ollie, and also had francouer and barajas in their lineup for a good chunk of the season who combined only see 3 pitches per at bat.

emaus is gonna surprise people, he has good milb numbers.

mets aren't gonna be as bad as the media makes them out to be

they have a good lineup and really we went from francouer/barajas/castillo to davis/emaus or murphy/thole at the bottom of the order. that's a big improvement.

pelfrey is gonna be solid but no longer do i have the high hopes i once had ... niese on the other hand is gonna be great, he has 2 plus pitches and unlike pelfrey matured on the mound and doesn't get rattled.

Ack, 20 runs in 2 games... not good...

No, it's not too early to worry about Pelf. We're toast if he sucks this season...

Gotta' have a good showing for the home opener!

Break up the Mets! Two in a row!

Bay's presence is good for Wright in the lineup. I hope Big Pelf has righted himself.

Another day, another win! D.Wright is starting to get his stroke back, just need the pitching to continue to step up.

The first time I switch to watch the Mets all year, Ryan Howard hits a grand slam on them.

Back to not watching baseball...

^Especially this season. Reyes has been on a tear since the beginning of the year. Just had a 3 hit game with one walk against the Dodgers today. Those 3 hits were 2 triples and a double as well.

Return to New York Mets
