There is always the risk that he decides to head back to Europe to play where he can easily get the same money if not more and would most likely be a starter instead of a backup. Think about it, more important roll, more money, closer to home - this is the x factor with Goran that will allways be there.

I don't think a guy who wanted to be in the NBA all his life would just suddenly move back. I don't know. I don't think it would have ever been a legitimate enough concern where you factor it in with your decisions about a player.

I agree. The kid was playing and learning from his idol, of all players.

Agreed. Phoenix was the perfect situation for him. Our front office (or the past front office) paid a lot to bring him to the team and he's on the team learning from not only his idol, but one of the great PG's in NBA history. Also it seemed like he was destined to have the reigns passed to him once Nash retires or gets traded.

You know what is really funny? You have the reading skills of a 3rd grader probably..

I think a top 5 pick is more valueable than Gortat to a team like us that sorely lacks youth and talent to rebuild. Who cares about having a center when you don't even have a star? And no Gortat is not a top 10 center in the NBA.

I don't overrate Dragic, I know that he was good enough to be a backup PG and I know that an expiring Brooks was not worth Dragic and a first round pick.

I don't think Lopez is better than Gortat. But I think that Lopez has potential and is much better than what he showed this season, we all know that.

I am not overrating the Orlando pick either. Every draft there are 2-3 players available at #21 that are better than someone like Aaron Brooks who is a pointless acquisition considering we best let him walk away for nothing.
