Perhaps the Lakers do have a relatively good amount of respectable fans. It's just that they have more fans, and so they would also have more d-bags as well. Obviously I think in any place, legitimate fans who can talk real basketball are hard to come by. Heck I have that problem some times. Even I am a lone Suns fan in a sea of Laker bandwagoners out here on Guam. I have met perhaps 3-4 people who can really talk about basketball, without just saying "go lakers".

Bottom line though, there are more bandwagon fans and also stooges than real fans(especially for "hot" teams), anywhere. Because of that, I just don't think generalizing and also singling out the Lakers fan base(or even the whole darn city) as being inarticulate pricks is accurate nor fair.

That also makes me come across you as someone who's bitter because of the Laker's success instead. I mean, that's fine with me and all(I'm envious of Lakers even though they're my 2 team). But it really appears to me that you're using the fanbase as a scapegoat for your rage against the city. I don't see how you can harbor so much rage just for a fanbase, which in most cases it looks like you're a few steps ahead of.
