Wow, those jeans look glued on.

But anyways, to the subject at hand. I look/hope for the Jays to destroy Burnett, and for Drabek to have another solid outing. I think they take game 1.

Game 2 is more of a toss-up. If Cecil is back after a somewhat promising last start, I say the Jays take that one too. The Yanks are pretty desperate to be putting Bartolo Colon in their rotation.

Drabek vs. Burnett should be fun, it's not often you get to see a big crowd at the Dome these days, and hopefully one that gives AJ and A-Rod a rough time as usual.

I realize "they are due" is not a sophisticated sabermetric theory but the Jays offense isn't that bad, they have to "regress to the mean" at some point and put some crooked numbers up on the board.

Francisco is ready to go now...

Litsch got sent down. thats a suprise to me. I know they cant send Reyes down without risking losing him but isnt there a reliever that couldve went instead? Reyes will have to be 5th starter now?

So this game is on at the same time as the Boston/New York game, which will be on TSN. I am in sports heaven tonight, which will help distract me from the congealed ball of idiocy, inconvenience and outright life-sabotage that is our Ministry of Transportation.

Hooray for sports-as-a-placebo!

Go Jays!

A sensible lineup right up until the point you encounter Molina hitting sixth.

Why not just switch Molina and E5? That's what a normal person would do.

The only way batting Molina 6th makes sense is if he's batting 1.000 lifetime vs. AJ Burnett, and I don't have my fingers on the stats. to find out.

I'd put Patterson 9th, Molina 8th, and Nix 7th.

Drabek is being a bit too cute early...the Yankees aren't going to chase much, so he's going to need to get more of the plate if he wants to be out there beyond the fifth inning.

I love that Bautista can pull his hands in such that what should be a shallow pop-up to left ends up in the second deck.

I'm watching on a feed that is really choppy and slow and the last thing I saw was AJ/Martin setting up for inside fastball. I was thinking, "wow, they're gutsy, he better not miss." The next image that comes up is the ball in the 2nd deck.

And there is the inevitable result of putting two on with no outs against the Yankees. Could have been worse. Now it's "just" 1 in, runners on the corners, no outs. I'm seeing max 6 IP, 5 more likely, for Drabek. Tough start. Everyone has them, but yikes.

EDIT: See above for an example of an exceptionally reactionary post from someone used to the Raptors sucking early and then not turning things around. Must switch gears... baseball, not basketball...

Nice double-play, that was MUCH needed.
