Kilroy wrote:Pau, Odom and Bynum need to be more assertive about getting to their spots. They were all in slow mo without the ball. Bynum was the best at it...

And I think the refs let NO's bigs get away with a little more pushing, dislodging and impeding that they normally do. I think that got to all 3 of them.

But they all were kind of trying to walk to their spots... They need to get there in a hurry and if they do, there won't be an issue.

I can't fault Kobe for what he did... His team mates were just standing around watching him. And he shot %50...

truth is, we were flat , had no energy, and team wide played like feces...although i must say, in the fourth quarter, the refs really seemed to let cp3 have his way, and allowed him to get away with pretty much anything, and the favor wasnt reciprocated towards the lakers, ahem, it was close at that point, and i saw a very clean game , refs wise , through the first three quarters...and we should have never been that close in the first place, to be clear, im not blaming the refs, but they gave cp3 some epic wade-style love late in the game..

also, 3 turnovers? doesnt that seem kinda fishy?

THe truth is Lakers weren't going to win that game. The refs didn't allow anyone to guard CP3. U barely brush on him and it's a foul. NBA is trying to prop up the Hornets, it's called a conflict of interest, bad for the Lakers or any team playing them.

Not hearing that about Kobe in this time. Kobe shot a good percentage & pretty much stayed within the offense. If Gasol gets his butt in the post & do work & Kobe ball hogs then he can complain. Mark Jackson even had an APB put out for him.

Paul is 30-31 years old. He's not going to change who he is at this stage in his career. So you HAVE to get him involved. Especially if there is a missmatch!! Bynum and Gasol should touch the ball everytime because the Hornets do not have enough big man. It's pretty simple. I gotta blame this 1 on Phil.

13-26

I'll take that considering a bunch of them were late game garbage misses. Kobe played an efficient game.

Also, article is misleading

Did you watch the game? When ever Pau got the ball he would either pass it back out or face up and shoot a jumper. He did not make a single strong move to the basketball for 47mins. The one basketball he had for those 47mins was created by Kobe. When Pau is shooting three's you don't give the pussy the ball because obviously she didn't come to play

1. Give the Hornets some credit. They clogged the passing lanes aggresively. Our outside guys seemed to be confused by that, unable to pass the ball inside to good positions.
2. When Kobe takes the majority of shots in the beginning, we often lose - PERHAPS because the inside guys get stagnant as a result. But PG and LO should have been more agressive...
3. I suppose that our coaching staff makes adjustments, Steve Blake will help too, and we'll win the series!

He's always too indecisive with the ball. He makes those ball fakes, like he's going to drive in that wouldn't even fake the worst defender in the game. And he pump fakes like he is an elite jump shooter trying to draw a foul. It's like he doesn't know whether to drive or to shoot. It's like he is faking himself out. When he does decide what he's going to do, it's too late, it's a **** 12 foot jumper or a forced layup. The only time he makes a decisive move is when nobody is in the paint so he doesn't get hit to hard for his frail body, or when he is literally under the basket.

No where in either post did it say that Gasol was having or had a good game, frankly, he was terrible. However, a HOF guard and coach figure that out and get their other bigs (Bynum & Odom) involved at some point during a 48 minute, very winnable game.

Gasol was bad, but the loss is on Phil and Kobe. They get all the credit for the wins - as they should - but, let's also place the blame where it should be when they lose...

NBA wants to prop up the franchise with 1 foot out the door that's already moved once? It's the NBA's dream for the Hornets to fall off the map and Paul end up New York. If Stern wanted to keep the league a level playing field then he would have vetoed the Gasol & Garnett trades

Facts:
- No teams get more calls than the Celtics & Lakers
- No player gets more calls than Kobe

Lakers have and will continue until they upgrade the position, to struggle against elite PG's in this league. Where is Shannon Brown? You put Kobe on Paul and Brown on the Hornets other guard.

Fisher is garbage and has been for a few years now. The guy comes up with a couple good shooting games every playoff run and Laker fan is satisfied. Unless Fisher is getting in peoples heads and throwing elbows (Magic Finals)and such then calling him a liability is a compliment

I think he still does he's just not as aggressive of a player anymore with his age and diminishing skills. That's why we see so many pump fakes now

Kobe
LeBron
Wade
Durant
Pierce

Are the Kings of calls. Which makes the Heat so dangerous in the playoffs where star treatment is taken up a notch

Not quite there yet which is a major reason why I still have doubts of them getting out of the Eastern Conference. I'm hoping they award him the MVP in the 2nd Round and refs start to give him calls accordingly.

Other than 04 Pistons, you need that guy to get you bail out calls late in games. I think Rose is in the 2nd tier of ''getting calls'' with Paul & Mello among others.

Great Job with all those extra touches Pau. Keep up the good work.

Kobe exposed this joke of a theory with this game. Gutsy he decided to try it in a pretty critical playoff game, but that's Kobe.

Let's give thanks for Andrew Bynum, my goodness. Hate to see what this one would've looked like without Drew.
