I agree. It would not be the end of the world. He can be a good player, but he must stay motvated and keep his head in the game EVERY play. That is the one real criticism I see of him at Ky. He sometimes played as tho he just didn't care for stretches of a game. And it concerns me if he does that once he gets a nice pay day after the Draft. I guess that is where it takes MJ and the coaching staff along with the Vets on the team to stay on him and make him drive himself EVERY play.

rose, evans, wall, cousins, bledsoe, orton, jones and knight? he should be proud of the program he is building. looks like he will probably a couple more one and done guys next year as well. kudos.

Agreed.

He might actually be a good support player to Hendo - if we think Hendo can add those handles and 3pt shot and be an All Star.

They haven't hired agents though so they could still go back to school.

DeAndre Liggins? Really? That's a guy who would really benefit from another year. Instead, I can see a team reaching on him like Orlando did with Orton.

I think unless ping pong balls fall the right way we woudl have our options selcted by others. I would consider trading down or out unless some team above us reaches for a non top 10 player.

Well he won't be before #19, so we're safe at least.

DraftExpress: Teams were buying picks in the 50s for 500k last year. You couldn't trade a late first round pick for a bag of potato chips right now.

-snip-
DraftExpress: This is turning into one of the shallowest drafts ever. I'm really struggling at this point to find guys for the bottom of the top-100.

How about we swap our #9 to GS for their #11 + Reggie Williams. Then we draft Jordan Hamilton to net Hamilton and Williams instead of just Terrance Jones. What do people think?

Sure, sounds great, but why would the Warriors give up Williams just to move up 2 spots in a very weak draft?

I actually think I would rather Hamilton to Jones, but were still a long ways out. Before its all said and done Hamilton could easily surpass Jones on the big boards. But I just don't see GS ever wanting to do that type trade...I mean who would they be targeting that they would want to move up to 9?

I was thinking like our 9th for Houston picks (14, 23 and 38 or swap of second round picks). Taking mild gamble on late first round guys on reasonable contracts rather then reach for someone with 9th or taking whoever fall to us because other teams though he would be a bust (at 9th it would be hard not to keep on team fr 4 years no matter what) I am not sure about it, it might be better to leave it open till the last momment, I don't know.

If we could get some future pick(s), even second rounders, that would great.

You guys do know that these criticisms about Terrence are the exact same ones we heard about Rudy Gay a few years ago and Grainger the year before right. Let's not make that same mistake again.

basing my discomfort with Terrance Jones not on what I heard but on what I saw when I watched him play the tournament games. seemed like he was always shuffling around above the free throw line, as if his own feet were in his way, or he was just plain lazy. body seemed disjointed and big in the wrong places ala Marvin Williams. not like sleek greyhounds Rudy Gay or Danny Grainger or Jordan Hamilton.
I also don't like the look of his shot. he redeemed himself with the 15 rebounds, and definitely showed more interest, in the last game, and that's what I'll pin my hopes on if the cats pick him, but I'd rather have Hamilton.

For the lulz, we should draft Jones AND Hamilton. I could imagine the draft topic outcry at that.

Williams is 6'6", 205, long arms, 24yo, averaged 9.2 pts 2.7 rbs/ 20 mpg 14.97 PER
last 2 games of the yr started for Monta Ellis, went 19-34, including 7/12 3pters 10 rbs 45 pts.
adds depth at SG/SF
precisely the kind of low cost low risk player I'd like to fill the roster with until we land a guy worth spending money on.

probably just explained why the GS will probably resign instead of give him to us
