I don't know, those last two guys are easy fits but I don't think they're 2 and 3 on my board. I'm willing to consider trading guys to open room for Williams or whoever else we may consider BPA. The only thing I'd be really hesitant about is trading Irving.

He's suggesting that they use Johnson as a trade chip for a veteran starter.

Now, I don't know who he thinks he can get with Johnson as the main trade piece, but whatever.

For Thompson or whoever the question still stands; does anyone honestly think this front office will give up Wes before his second season?

And why Thompson anyway. All he's going to do in the NBA is shoot and that's what the team has Ellington for. Hell, you can pick up plenty of guys that can just shoot it if that's what you need. Daquan Cook, for example. But there's no point in wasting a draft pick on the guy, like Krap said you might as well go with a defensive guy like Lee or Shumpert.

I'd rather have Honeycutt than Thompson. He at least looks like a plus defender and a slasher and not a shooter.

Williams is only a trade chip in my book. I don’t see any reason to bring him in unless you’re afraid of giving Beasley a contract. We know that Beasley made a somewhat successful transition to SF. He still has the chance to get a lot better.

We have no idea if Williams can play the 3 in the NBA. If he can’t, you’re stuck with a huge logjam at the 4 (where Williams is undersized). Love, Tolliver and Randolph are already a logjam. What the heck do you plan to do with Williams if he can’t play the 3?

Randolph and Tolliver have limited trade value. Williams’ trade value is much bigger. There’s no reason Williams should end up a wolf imo.

I wouldn't pass Williams for Beasley, Tolliver or Randolph. It would be tough to have both Love and Williams on the team I think, but I wouldn't entirely rule out trading Love. Just to clarify, I'm not saying we should trade Love to make room for Williams but I think we should be aware of all moves available and Williams + what we could get for Love might be better than Love + what we could get for Williams.

I'm scared to trade Love, he's surpassed even my expectations. I had him pegged for like 18/14 at his peak. What if he starts being competent defensively, and/or gets in really good shape one offseason or develops a dribble drive game or something, I dont want to miss out.

I see where you're coming from Worm, but I think the comparison in value between Love and Williams is impossible to quantify. For all we know Williams might be this years version of Turner or Johnson.... so I guess I would have a tough time trading one of our few sure things to make room for the highest guy on our board. I'd prefer to trade the guy that's still a mystery. If people thought Williams had franchise caliber ceiling it might be different, but I haven't heard that. I've heard David West, maybe Danny Granger.

I'm hearing more & more great things about Bismack. I honestly would be thrilled if we landed the 3rd pick to select him. Thorpe mentioned if we got the 1st pick, we could take him there. Kahn would take a lot of heat though passing on Irving & Williams (maybe).

Kahn will take a lot of heat no matter what he does. Until the team starts winning everything he does will be second guessed and assumed to be wrong.

Burks makes it official, kind of expected though.

I really really want Bismack though, after Irving he should be our next target imo but I could understand taking Williams as BPA too I guess.

Depends where you think Burks could go, or who has the pick we trade up with. I could see some team like the Bobcats doing that move, just because they are desperate for talent, even though they have Augustine. The Cavs could too if they still like Flynn, they'd move back a few spots but get more talent. Hell I could see Sac trading back if they get jumped back a spot or 2.

Rubio-Burks would like outside shooting, but the potential is there. Burks has solid form, and a good mid-range shoot IMO, and Beasley/Love are good enough shooters to overcome spacing problems.

Burks doesn't even play defense & he can't shoot at all. Do some people just want him because he's a true SG & can get to the line? I just don't see him being that great of a player.
