I was just like wtf because you sent the trade request not even an inning after he left the game from his injury lol!

Sett gets:
Ubaldo Jimenez
2012 first round pick

Chach gets:
Alexi Ogando
Anthony Rizzo

While Ubaldo and I had quite a run, and I know I overpaid, I and pumped beyond belief to have Rizzo.

If someone has a real offer for Pujols, send it over my way.

Considering that trade I would assume I would be offering too much if I offered just Asdrubal Cabrera for Pujols.

It's funny what you consider a fair offer Chach, otherwise I'd send one. I'll send you a trade request and you'll reply with David Wright, Jose Reyes, Jered Weaver, and Matt Kemp for Ryan Roberts. After that trade with Sett, I think it's best if you send out trade proposals. (I liked that last one you sent me, but you cancelled it).

Chach was actually the one who made the offer in the Ubaldo trade.

Everyone values everything differently. My team is young enough as it is and I don't follow the minors enough that draft picks are an asset to me. By adding Rizzo, I don't need to add much in terms of young players and I can ride my awesome core for the next 3-4 years. As great as Ubaldo is, he's had a 4.00 ERA since June of last year. Outside of two Pedro-esque months, he's been slightly above average. In exchange, I get a 21 y/o who is putting up a 1.200 OPS in AAA and while he'll lose a bit of pop in Petco, Rizzo is the type of all around player who will contribute inspite of that. Hell he even stole 10 bases last season. AND I get a really interesting young pitcher who has electric stuff and compliments Feliz. One of the two will close and the other will start and they will both be nasty at either spot.

I'm going to be unreasonable if you are asking me to part with something I have little depth at, like someone who is slobbering all over Tulo. But I have plenty of OF and I had plenty of SP so I'm willing to go back and forth on those. But you're not going to get me to bite on Tulo for 70 cents on the dollar, you are going to have to overpay for a player like that so I'm not going to take a trade proposal seriously and I'm not going to put much effort into a counter offer if that's not the case.

Since it is not too obvious from the team names of who each manager is, is "Mauve Avenger" = "Chin Music"? If not, then Zach Britton needs to be dropped.

Ogando is old for a prospect and is obviously a step down from Ubaldo but he's got enough upside to justify the move. Out of my three legit #1 starters, I traded the one I valued the least and had the least faith in to get something I wanted and possibly needed. I still have plenty of great young pitching and I still have a few other assets so I'm content. I know it's Tuscon but 1.200 OPS is pretty remarkable anywhere. I'm super excited for this kid.

Yes, the guy with the inferior triple slash line in easier hitting environments, when they have gone level to level with each other, is better. I will say the Royals impatience with Myers is sad as I think he could have been a catcher and that hurts him in my eyes, but oh well. Do you also think Rizzo is a 1.200 OPS level hitter?

You silly small sample size users.

You silly, bitter, assuming-ass Wil Myers' owners. I'm talking about their entire career thus far. Trout will reach the Majors quicker, and will put up much better numbers than Bryce Harper-lite.

How will Trout reach the majors first? (And why does that matter?)

He will put up better SB base numbers, I will give him that.

At his peak, I think that Rizzo can put up a .310/.400/.550 line with 25-35 HRs and maybe a dozen stolen bases. And I think that line is sooner rather than later.

If Rizzo hits 35 HR I'll blow you. Win-win! Ok, that is pretty sick.

My team now officially has only players born in the 80's on it. I would have picked up a '72er in Chipper but of course he gets picked up a day before the awful Pablo+Zimm news.

Prospect Alert: Wilson Ramos needs to be picked up in the next two weeks.

That is all.
