Sene vs. Biyombo

Similarites: Long, African centers
Differences: Everything that matters.

Thank you for being snarky. I really appreciate it. I don't see a huge difference between him and all these other really raw players that have ton of potential. I don't see him panning out, especially in the next 4 to 5 years.

Fun game. And in case you missed it, I never said I would leave. I said I wouldn't weigh in on the Biyombo question anymore since I agreed that we don't agree.
What else have you got, captain?

Back on topic...

I've been a fan of Bismack since before he got all this hype. Sure, he is short but he is reach is absolutely crazy. It's not so much about you're literally height as it is your reach. He has the body/weight to play against the bigs and when you combine that with his athleticism, crazy length and hard work/drive....well I can't see why he couldn't defend the Gasol's, Bynum's, Aldridge's, etc. of the league.

I'm not too worried about his lack of an offensive game since we don't need him to score and he will get plenty of garbage points off of offensive boards, etc.

Worse case scenario he is Chuck Hayes or Ronny Turiaf. Best case he is Serge Ibake, Nene, Elton Brand or Emeka Okafor Hard to find an appropriate comparison to him really....

Despite how much I would love to see the Jazz pick him up we just simply don't need him. We're already stacked at the front court. The only way you take him is if you plan on trading Millsap. So it comes down to Bismack or Millsap, who would you guys rather have?

Funny how I keep drawing double-posts out of you. And nice gay joke. Stellar contribution! :pityfool:

My sincere hope is that the Jazz move up in the lottery and don't have to worry about if they should take BB or not.

If you can't have a discussion without resorting to the tactics of a twelve year old, then you should probably leave.

Didn't mean to come across that way - and that's cool, you have a valid reason to take that stance.

What I meant by "everything that matters" is that while all these other hyped up bigs who have amounted to nothing didn't seem to have the drive, heart and work ethic of Biyombo. That, mixed with his physical gifts, makes me lean towards him really panning out in the future. He's definitely raw and has a lot to learn, and if the Jazz don't have the patience...well then they won't draft him.

I just feel like everyone in the 5-7 pick range is a gamble. Especially Kanter (knee issues, competition), Vesely (lot's of ?'s) and Kemba (height, senior). Brandon Knight is a safer pick (if he's even available) and I would be pretty happy w/ him, but sometimes it's worth taking a risk.

And honestly I don't think Biyombo is that much of a risk..I guess we'll all know more after workouts, though.

I'm sure we're all so impressed that you are meeting a buddy for drinks at a bar to watch a faker game. You keep grabbing life by the horns man...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
