Well, Ribery and Robben don't come cheap.

Its funny how people try to manipulate stats in their favor. AK-47's contract off the books then the Jazz fall way down that list. The Jazz front office is not cheap but not the Blazers owner either. Now that Larry Miller is gone, I can see the Jazz being even more frugal with their money. Attendance was not like it has been before nor has business in the Millers other endeavors been that great. Remember we are coming out a great recession and the Millers are business people and not rich people with money to waste such as owners like Paul Allen. This time next year, the Jazz may not even be in the top 20, thus your post has little value.

Yes, yes it is.

Doesn't have value this time next year? Or doesn't have value to you now because it doesn't match your opinon? The numbers are what they are--the value is based on what the numbers mean. Subtracting AK's salary off because his contract is almost over and then evaluating it for merit smacks of manipulating the stats to me.

Yeah, will be nice to have the albatross of the books.

It's amazing how much this kind of thing happens and how much it affects teams.

Orlando with Rashard Lewis (now Wiz)

Wizards with Arenas (now Orlando)

Blazers with Roy

Hawks with Joe Johnson

just to name some of the ones I could think of.

payroll shmayroll- championships that are purchased aren't real championships. nothing like cheering for a bunch of mercenaries. (same goes for owners who won't keep players on their team for the sole reason of money)

keep the same team together for more than just a few years. so at least when the championship is won, it will actually mean something.

Didn't they keep the Williams, Boozer, Okur, Kirilenko, Korver group together for a while trying to get there? I think they just moved on from that era since we saw how far that group could go (WCF).

I am happy to move on from that. Now this young core we have exciting and this off-season is going to be fun to follow.

Return to Utah Jazz
