Any interest in a salary dump that would involve Marvin Williams? Atlanta, like most teams, are sensitveto the LT and it will prevent them from re-signing Jamal Crawford. Willing to dump Williams for a late 2012 1st and a SF that has 2 years left on his contract and a lower annual salary than Williams? Teams like San Antonio, Boston, LA Lakers or Houston will have a bad contract that they are willing to trade for a useable player (Williams) who is more expensive and has a longer deal. Atlanta would get $2.0mm per year savings, 2 fewer years of contract and a pick.
If interested, it opens a much larger number of rebuilding options.

I can't really see Atlanta willing to trade a useful player like Marvin for a bad contract player who isn't useful for only a savings of 2M per year.
But who were the players you had in the mind?

I'm biting on Houston. Does some combination of picks with Thabeet work out financially?

Re: Reset or Rebuild?
Thabeet, Jordan Hill, & a 2nd pick for Marvin. At least gives us better depth in the frontcourt and allow us to let go of guys like Etan Thomas and Josh Powell.
Zaza to NOH for Aaron Gray & Marco Belinelli.
Thats like a 4 for 2 swap at the same rate. Aaron Gray actually has some decent post skills to start. Just got to get him into shape.

Then we need another starting 20 point scorer to take some of the double team Joe faces every single game off of him. Then we need depth. what I would do is first not bring any of our on free agents back and go after a center free agent Tyson Chandler, Dalembert, Joel Przybilla, or Nazr Mohammed. In that order. then I would had some more size, Kirilenko, Chuck Hayes, Kurt Thomas, Yi Jianlian, Melvin Ely, Leon Powe in that order. then ex starts ie.... McGrady, Tayshaun Prince, Michael Redd, not that order though. I would prefer Redd and McGradey. Then we could have a line up such as
Kirk/ Teague
JJ/ Redd
T-Mac/ Marvin
Josh Smith/ Hayes
Bogut/ Przybilla
Bench
Wilcox
Jason Kapono
Wilkens
oh we traded Horford for Bogut. We would have our on mini Big three with Bogut, T-Mac, and JJ.
Wouldn't a Horford T-Mac, and JJ mini three look better?

With the way J Crawfords been playing I hope ownership trys to kleep him here. If not I would love to trade for OJ Mayo. he has the same kind of game but a little stronger physical. Hell, I could see them both in the same back court at the end of the game

I wanted him before the deadline, but used more as a PG. I think he has the skills to be a decent distributor.

T-Mac is not really helping anyone at this point..
