JEFF GREEN TO GET A MAX CONTRACT FROM THE WARRIORS?

July 1, 2011 - Boston Globe

The season of crazy spending and irresponsible contracts is upon us and with that, reliable sources from within the GoldenState Warriors organization have indicated that the organization's top Free Agent priority is none other than the Celtics very own Jeff Green. Green, a restricted free agent, who was acquired in a mid-season trade that saw Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson sent packing to the Okalhoma City Thunder, is believed to test Danny Ainge's resolve by putting pen to a maximum contract that will earn him close to 75 million dollars over 5 years with the Bay Area outfit. Celtics will then have an option to match the offer should they deem Green a 15 million dollar a year man.

The Boston Globe will continue to monitor this story as further details unfold.

FIGHTING OVER GREEN?

Milwaukee Journal - July 2, 2011.

It has been said that the Golden State Warriors have offered Jeff Green of the Boston Celtics a max deal. There is now word that your own Milwaukee Bucks have offered him a similar deal! It is now very clear that Green will get money this offseason, but where will he play? Will he come out to the mid-west or go to the west coast? Only time and Green's mind will answer that question. Even if Green wants to play in California or Wisconsin, the Celtics still can match the offer and keep him. His offer from the Bucks is said to be worth over $80 million over the next 5 years. Which team will he chose? We will find out tomorrow afternoon.

After fielding offers for M.Gasol we are going to keep him. Howard is on the block, as is Joe Johnson.

Need a new LA Lakers GM ASAP. Phoenix too.

Anyone got any ideas?

Willing to give them out to an active player as a second team assuming nobody objects.

Let me know if you want one of them!

The Kings are looking to add via subtraction. We're reluctantly offering the services of Hassan Whiteside - a bright young 7 footer; with range, length and top notch athleticism--not to mention a sweet jumper to top him off. Not to be outdone however, we also have a nice, young forward by the name of Anthony Tolliver who is quite versatile and brings a nice all-around game for a forward to the floor. Both Hassan and Anthony are casualties to being on a team that instantly switched its objective to "win now" and as a result, lost their places in the depth chart. We would really like to have new homes for both players before the first free agent signs a new contract in 2011. Thanks.

To everyone who decided it was better for Tyson Chandler to sign with the Knicks rather than the Kings...this message is for you.
