I know the term "must win" doesn't mean really mean must win a literal sense.....but how is this a must win game for the Hawks even going by the cliche? The swing game in this series was game 4.

Yes....it's a closeout game but its not a must win by any stretch of the imagination. The last game was actually a must win for the Magic seeing as only 15 percent of teams down 3-1 actually force game 7 and only 5 percent actually end of winning the series. Not to jinx the Hawks but the term "must win" doesn't apply to this game at all.

Another big game for Jamal Crawford -- averaging 24.0 ppg in the series -- will be key for the Hawks if they want to record the first shocker of what's going to be a wild wild NBA playoffs....

Must Win is way over used. This game much like Game 2 is a great opportunity for the Hawks. Not only would closing out show a focus in the team that it's never really exhibited before, but the great opportunity is to make Orlando doubt everything. Hawks win tonight and then everything that has been stable in Orlando becomes into play. SVG might get bounced. Otis Smith's seat will be hotter. Dwight might think harder about leaving town. Ownership might think about trading Dwight if they can't get him to re-up on a contract. If the Hawks lose tonight then Orlando starts to get hope. It won't necessarily mean that the Hawks will start to doubt. Hawks have 3 chances to close this out if needed and based on the results this season little reason to fear if they stay with the plan.

Not really an over-exaggerated must win game but we need to go ahead and take the series, and at the least get some extra rest, and keep a lot of momentum going for us. Also gives us time to game plan for what looks like Chicago.Crawford is on fire. Joe looks goods. Cmon hawks and take this thing tonight!!!

I think you are overlooking the fact that orlando is shooting quite well from 3..

We keep having these games when we just give up. We seem determined to not get hurt ... or even tired, for that matter.

It appears we won't get back in this game. We still have time, but Orlando is containing us or we're containing ourselves. It's very frustrating to see us fold like this, but I hope this is the only time, and we take care of business during game six.
