on my way home john ireland clarified that kobe didn't "refuse" an MRI, they just never told him he had to get one. it was more of a "kobe, you want an MRI", "nah, i'm good".

OK, that does clarify things a bit. The wiretap articles make it sound like he downright ignored FO personnel, coaching staff, and medical personnel when they requested he get an MRI. I really don't see the harm in getting one done.

The other thing I found impressive about both of Kobe's monster dunks last night is the fact that he started his attack from his place in the Triangle, in our set, half-court offense. How many monster jams start like that?
