I'm predicting Knight emerges as the "consensus #3" by draft day. Just a feeling.

i like Knight and his potential. I didnt know he was considered such a high prospect coming out of highschool, that just makes me more excited. An ideal draft for me would be.

Draft one of Knight/Kanter
trade for the other one using Bargnani

Knight
Derozan
SF (2012 Miller/Barnes/Gilchrist)
Davis
Kanter

looks like a solid promising team.

Knight might have the most natural talent of all these guys. Irving is the better prospect but if looking just at body and athleticism Knight has the edge. Add that to super intangibles and he might a classic perenniel all-star talent who didn't show in his freshman year and got scooped up at #3 or #4 by a lucky team...

still dont think theyd even take Irving. Kahn seems infatuated with Rubio like BC was with Bargnani. I am pretty confident if they win they dont take Irving and take D.Williams. What they need most though is a center. Someone to compliment Love nicely which Kanter would. Ideally Stern just lets them have 3rd and moves us up into the top 2 with CLE so MIN can just take Kanter whos the better fit

I like what your thinking. Calipari stated that he may very well be the best guard and young man he has ever coached! Those are some high praises considering he coached Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans and John Wall. Knight is a work-o-holic who lives in the gym and is always looking to improve his game, plus he has leadership qualities which we ever so need.

Obvious? I'm stating a fact in that Calipari said what he said. Although he may not be right the stats are very similar.

Yes it's obvious. Calipari is just boosting his draft stock. If Knight was as good as Wall or Rose, he'd be the number 1 pick without a doubt. Knight's athleticism is nowhere near those two. I can understand the part about being the best young man or the best student, but he's not the best player, not close.

I said it's one of the worst, not the worst draft. You're right, nobody's played a game, but it's common sense. Look at the talent available. When people are talking about Bi.tchsmack being worthy of the 3rd pick, you know it's bad.

I agree. Although I agree that this class appears to be weak.This draft class hasn't even stepped on the NBA court yet. For all we know down the road Knight/Val/Williams become all stars. I didn't know their numbers were so similar.

I agree he is trying to boost his draft stock, he wants recruits for next year . But yes he is close to being to the best player in this draft. I'm not pulling up Irving's stats but believe me Knight's are not that far off. The marginal difference between the two means it is close.

I also see what your stating about Biyombo but you and I know he should not, and will not be picked third. Although there are players nearly ever year that emerge as great players at lower draft spots.

can't worry about being disappointed. i think i would feel better knowing that at least we took the necessary risk (assuming there IS a player we like at our spot)

Utah and Cleveland both have two lottery picks. You might be able to get the two picks from Utah as they are scheduled to pick 6th and 12th but I feel the Raptors need as much top end talent as possible and will probably end up using the pick. This all can change though depending on the draft lottery which will be held on May 18th.

I don't know how realistic this is, but If we got #3 (or 4) and Cleveland drops to #4 or #5, I wouldn't mind a deal for both of their picks (+capspace) for our pick+Bargs. We move down a spot or two, but still end up with one of the C's (assuming that the BPA with that pick is a C--I think it is), along with another pick to take the BPA at #8 (could end up being another one of the C's, maybe a Knight/Walker, or more likely a T.Jones/Vesely). In any case, we get two decent talents to continue to rebuild with, and also open up quite a bit of capspace by moving Bargs' deal, which we can then use to target an FA (DeAndre?), or maybe absorb a bigger contract in a trade. Or maybe we sit on the capspace and really try to make a big FA move once Jose's deal comes off the books. In any case, we would have even more flexibility, and some young assets to work with in DeMar, Ed, Bayless, Amir, JJ, #5, #8.

Interesting read. So the x-ray does appear to be a valid means of verifying his age, but they would need to have an appropriate paper trail for the x-ray to conclusively prove that it is not a fake. So it would come down to the record-keeping of the Spanish healthcare system. Someone brought this up in the comments, but wouldn't the unique length of his arm in the x-ray itself be an identifying characteristic?

I'm assuming the xray is just of his wrist, not the full arm. Even then, the guy is a basketball agent, he could get a large arm to fake an xray.
