Plans for the draft?

Post#1 » by Wilford Brimley » Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:41 am

I was thinking about going to a bar/restaurant type deal, but I have a **** ton of homework. Plus I'd like to be able to have my laptop to look up the n00b TT picks in the 2nd round.

Saturday/Sunday format was way better. **** you Goodell.

I am just going to have some people over my place, watch it on espn and order some dominos, in addition I will have my computer on and ready because as you mentioned and as every other pack fan knows research needs to be done with some of TT's picks.

I'll be going out in MKE on North Ave or Water St. Lots of good deals like Rascals ($1 shots) or Brothers ($1 beers), Going to have to get real drunk because then I wont be to mad when I waste 5 hours out anticipating a pick then we trade down. Either way I have been excited to dress up in Packer gear on thursday for over a week.

I can't really do anything for it because my law school finals start next week and I have an absolutely brutal finals schedule, 2 on Tuesday, 1 on Wednesday, and then 1 on Thursday. The silver-lining is that I get done in time to go to the Kentucky Derby next weekend! :D

So I'll probably just be watching it at my apartment and reading everyone's draft analysis here.

Eh, the draft is dreadfully boring to watch especially when you don't have an early pick. I'll pay attention to our picks but not make any plans around it.

I fit in a lot of this same exact plan, probably ordering a pizza from Marty's for food over the Panera thing and I don't have to do step 3 or 8 :P

Ever since I was in high school, the draft is the one weekend a year that I spend with my old man. I'm sure we will have a laptop and a buncha draft magazines set up in front of a television with some pizza and beer.

I never said Ted was a bad gm, I was just not convinced he'd get a team over the top. I've happily eaten a ton of crow stew since early February.

I plan on bringing my ted Thompson impression to Larry and Chucks, wanting to punch something after the Packers pick. Drive home angry. Take it out on the gf. Wake up in the morning. Realize after the season I'm gonna look stupid. Watch the super bowl champions bluray. Fap. Watch day 2 and 3, repeating the same process each day.

Getting dinner with one of my best friends tomorrow.

The only time she could do was 8:30.

She doesn't like football, but she said we can go to a sports bar/restaurant so I can watch the draft.

Thats true friendship right there, fellas.

It's true though. I met her first day freshman year, and kinda liked her, but we became really close really fast.

I probably do still like her a bit.

Whatever.
