Question for OK locals

Post#1 » by snaquille oatmeal » Thu Apr 28, 2011 4:40 am

first off congrats on wining your first playoffs series!
second, I'm one of the few "outsiders" that was on the OK side when they moved from Seattle.
third, your team is my second favorite team after my beloved Lakers of course.

now for the question, about a year after the Thunder came to be there was a great article written by one of your local writers about how he used to be a die hard college basketball fan and never imagine that he would like the NBA. after watching the Hornets the year they played in OK and then watching the thunder he claimed that he became a believer in pro ball and that the NBA made college ball look amateurish and was no longer a fan. do you guys feel the same?

I, personally, was always a fan of the NBA first and foremost, so there was no change for me, but I can tell you that based upon my experience --my friends-- yes, there has been a change. People who glorified NCAA now realize and appreciate the NBA.

Thank the stars, Chris Paul and Kevin Durant.

personally after watching the Thunder for 3 years now whenever I watch a BigXII basketball game, it looks like I'm watching my highschool basketball tapes.

The college game is just so much slower and sloppier than the NBA game.

Some people say that they like the college game more because the players and fans show more emotion than in the NBA. Here in oklahoma, that's just not true. The team and fans in OKC show much more emotion than in college.

^

College Football still trumps all in terms of fan support and emotion though. Just sayin...

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
