Goaltending Rules

Post#1 » by donemilio21 » Thu Apr 28, 2011 4:25 pm

David Stern recently said he favors International Goaltending rules where you are allowed to touch the ball above the rim.

I believe this would be to our advantage have Blake and DJ :D

I would rather keep the rule as it is. For me it's simply because I would like a separation of the NBA and international play. This would make it easier for us to get baskets, but this would also make it harder to score at times.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

What about blocking shots that have touched the glass?

I'm fine with the players being allowed to pull the ball off the rim, or tip it back in. Far too often, you'll see instances where the players get away with what should technically be a goal-tend. Other times, it's called right away. I'm all for changes that will lessen the ambiguity of rule interpretation.
