Mavs can win this game as long as the Barea-Terry-Peja lineup doesn't get significant playing time.

Mavs need to run the offense through DIRK down the stretch and not Jet.

Those are the two big deciding factors to this game.

I covered up the previous post, and I bet it says something like "Mavs win if they go through DIRK!!"

BTW< That is not a new strategy for most of us on this board.

Mavs need to play this game like it is a Game 7. I still believe there will be 1 road team victory...Dallas in game 6 or Portland in game 7.

I think tonight game 4 will be repeated and Blazers will edge us once again. Roy and Wallace will have a great game. This series will be extended to game 7...

Hope I am totally wrong!
GO MAVS!!!!

Key match-up should be Cardinal versus Mills

We probably blow a 30 point lead tonight

I was so frustrated after game 4, but game 5 makes me optimistic again. Agree with " they have to bring game 7 attitude".

Lets Go Mavs

For some reason I see the Mavs winning tonight. I think the Blazers are worn out both mentally and physically. Not in a walk, but by 10-15 points.

Keys to winning tonites game:

Rebound the ball - Blazers will be focused on grabbing everything, so Mavs need to be mindful
Let Dirk shoot more - Give him post ups, outside shots, draw fouls
Get to the FT line - we win when we shoot more FTs
Shut down Brandon Roy - in Blazers 2 wins, he averages 20 ppg on 65% shooting.
Give Brewer 10-15 mins - let him play and have a chance to show what he can contribute

Yup. Pretty much.

I really think Carlisle needs to put in Brewer, just in case the Portland perimeter wants to get hot.
Chandler finally came to play in game 5. We got a combined 17 pts and 25 rebs from the center position in game 5. If they can get similar numbers, Dallas win easily.

This is a winnable game for Dallas (haven't they all been?).

Dirk needs to be very aggressive. He needs more shots and the offense needs to completely go through him, and I mean completely. This game will tell me what Dallas is all about. Let's see if Carlisle and company can respond to a closeout game.

I personally think that if Dallas loses this game, Portland will win the series.

FINISH THEM OFF TONIGHT DALLAS!!!!!!

Really!

I am one of the biggest Roddy supporters, but there is no one in Portland that is so fast that we need Roddy anyways.

Mills...........Barea
Miller.........Kidd
Matthews...Stevenson
Fernandez..Terry
Roy............???? Brewer???

I love Roddy, but I think the misuse of Brewer is just dumb.
