Man, I had a long reply, agreeing with both your guys points, and how it was just a ugly series overall for both teams, then you edited, and wrote this...

Snayr wrote:P.S. - Montreal IS all about class. If you were a hockey fan, and didn't cling to every word that idiot Jack Edwards spews... maybe you'd realize this. If you want to learn about class, watch this video, and then the next 7 parts to it...

:noway:

Like that's all we do here, listen to Jack Edwards and base our opinions off of that. We're not real hockey fans in Boston.

http://www.weei.com/ ---- They're probably talking draft right now, but all day they've been **** on Jack Edwards. The guys a buffoon. We know it. Surprisingly enough we can base our own opinions.

I was referring to 15th, and not Boston fans in general CC. I know a number of Boston fans, and they hate on Edwards big time.
Not gonna lie though, some of the comments I read on stuff done by Edwards from Boston fans... man does it make my Bleu-Blanc-Rouge blood boil.

Halpern skated right into Ference. He didn't stick an elbow or shoulder out to him. At least that's the look I got out of it.

He went to skate around the net and Ference leaned in with his shoulder to his head... it's in slow motion, you can't miss it. Halpern was skating in his direction, and was looking at him - he turned around to look at the play thinking he'd be out of the way by the time he went by, but whoops! Lets just lean into his head here and see what happens.

It was subtle, I'll give him that - but it's there.

Go to about 21 seconds on the clip I posted, and you'll see his body shift into Halpern.

That's the Nashville offense I'm used to seeing. That's a blowout with an average goalie.

Snayr wrote:Take off your rose coloured glasses 15th, and watch that play with Hammer and Kelly again... Kellys stick goes up and spears Hammer in the throat. I don't know if you've ever been nailed in the throat before, but that doesn't feel very good, and makes for a hard time breathing.

At best you could argue that the Kelly may be a borderline call. But it's game 7 and it wasnt some egregious play you can bank a whistle on. Play on.

Snayr wrote: The fact of the matter is that it should never have gotten to the point where that play happened. Why? Ference's cheapshot on Halpern should have been a 2 min interference penalty at the very least, AND the puck was touched with a high stick by the Bruins player, and it wasn't whistled down.

The worst part is Ference criticized teammate Paille for a hit to the head earlier this season.

The Paille hit was a cheap shot clearly aimed at the head.. straight outta the Matt Cooke handbook. Not comparable.

You yourself said that "in slow motion" you can "subtly" see Ference "lean" into him and that Halpern knew where Ference was. Going from "subtly leaning" to cheapshot is a pretty big leap.

Snayr wrote:As for diving, I'll agree with you that PK doesn't need to embellish, and I don't like it. He's an extremely skilled player, and doesn't need that to be a part of his game. However, same goes for Chara. Chara went down conveniently easy last night to draw a penalty.

Agreed, I hated that Chara play, too. I can't remember him ever going down that easy. At that point I think he was just fed up with the relentless diving tactics by Montreal. PK wasnt the only culprit either, that was just a great shot The last few games were especially bad though.

One thing that we can all agree on is that Jack Edwards is a clown. Nobody takes him seriously. Check out this gem from the end of the game 7 broadcast:

Guy is weird.

Yeah, Jack Edwards needs to take it down a few notches.

I'm not gonna jump into this whole debate about the Bruins and Canadiens stuff aside from saying that Canadiens fans continue to boo the Star Spangled Banner, so saying Montreal is all class is wrong.

Carry on.

Damn TSN gets the Red Wings series while CBC get the stupid Canucks and Preds and Bruins and Flyers.

Oh well time to stream this series online hope the Wings take it in 6. Also  at one insider saying the Sharks in 4. Saying that their team is better then us in every single way and they will be blowouts like 3 goals+ per game. If that happens I quit RealGM forever

Wrong. Drunken idiots continue to boo the star spangled banner. They're not fans, they're douchebags and imposters who don't respect the game. I'm also not talking about the fans, I'm talking about the organization. However, in regards to the booing of the US anthem, I'll tell you now. Everytime I'm at the game, I not only smack a drunken idiot upside the head and tell him to shut up - but I also sing the US National anthem. Not with the gusto that I do the Canadian anthem, but I still sing it regardless.

If I was a Bruins fan, I'd do the same thing to whoever starts cheering "USA USA" at the game when playing the Habs. Especially when the bulk of their talent are Canadian...

@ 15th - Jack Edwards needs to be canned... that guy is terrible for hockey, unless you're like one of the uneducated buffoons booing the US National anthem, but US style and not CDN. Unfortunately I find myself seeing a lot of support from Boston fans, and it pisses me off.

Also, I wasn't saying that the Hamrlik incident should have been a penalty, I don't care about that. I just hated that Edwards was saying that Hammer "dove one time too many". Friggin' unprofessional. Unfortunately no one speared him full speed in the throat with a hockey stick -_- haha. But yeah, the play with Kelly and Hammer should have been blown down due to the missed high stick... and it resulted in the goal. THAT is what I was so pissed off about. Especially since Mtl had been whistled down for it not too long before that.

As for the Ference hit - it was very subtle, but it was still a cheapshot. He hid it very well, and was very sneaky about it. Does not negate the cheapness of it. He knew what he was doing, and you can see it in the shift.

Predators with a much better showing in Game 2, and Rinne just made a whale of a pad stop in overtime.

Thought for sure we were heading to a 3rd OT, but the Preds get a much deserved win.

Both games today were amazing. The Sharks got another big win and so did the Lighting, there's nothing better than playoff hockey.
