But I do think that it is telling that this thread only gets posts when something bad happens to the Knicks. This thread was deserted when the Knicks were on their win streak to end the season. Look at the Knicks board on the other hand, where several posters there are actively rooting for our former players and are rooting for the Nuggets. Stay classy, Nuggets board.

I wanted the Knicks to win their series against Boston. I even predicted them to win the series in 6 games on the GB in its first thread. I can see now that I was wrong with that prediction, but if the Knicks didn't get hit by the injury bug who knows how it would have gone for them. Originally, several of your fans were rooting for the former Knicks players to do well, some still are, but several/most of them are like I want our former players to do well, but screw the Nuggets. It works both ways, and it is what it is. Good luck next year.

Knicks just picked the 14 Mil Billups option....Sad to see him go but glad they did it, he's not worth 14 mil.

The knicks will either trade him or let him expire to try to get another big named player. Either way Billups got his option picked up, which is good news imo.

I can't see us keeping him past trade deadline next season. Pipe dream is send him in a package to NO for Chris Paul, but we have no assets.

I would say realistically we would send him to a contender next year for a center

That doesn't really matter, he got his money. Wherever you trade him to if it's a contender he will play, if it's not a contender the team will likely buy him out and he will do something like Bibby this year and sign with the team he wants to go to. But, yeah the Knicks were smart to pick his option up. Even if they don't trade him, it is a big expiring contract going into 2012.
