Well at least I'm not trying to convince people that Munich will suck next season, too, with a stabilized defense and Neuer in the goal. There is no way they fail next season again.

Not saying Bayern aren't likely to win the league next year but you seem to disregard every other teams chances, so you come across as being disrespectful. Give Hannover some credit to the old German ideals of efficiency, team work and self belief.

It's no disrespect. Just my personal opinion.
The Bundesliga is a lot different than say the PL where you have at least 4 or 5 teams who spend big money on regular basis.
Here we have only Bayern Munich who can afford buying players for 20+ mil. If they spend big money on quality players, they'll win the league.
We have a lot of good teams but none of them could truely compete with great European teams over a full season.
Munich will be a great team again next season after spending 60+ mil. on quality players and that is why they have a huge advantage over other teams that have to settle for younger, less proven players because they can't afford expensive players.
It will be a different story in 2012/13 when Munich's management is getting cheap again and their team isn't hungry anymore. :dontknow:

Today, someone sprayed the words

"WENN IHR ABSTEIGT, SCHLAGEN WIR EUCH TOT"
(If you get relegated, we will kill you)

on the billboards of the 1. FC Cologne training ground :o :o :o

Idiots... :banghead:   :upset:

1. FC Cologne has "amicably" let go of coach Frank Schaefer, and has installed manager Volker Finke as the new coach. :o :o :o Finke only swore last week that he "would never coach a soccer club again".

The Karnevalsverein 1. FC Cologne never fails to deliver. They could have had a nice quiet stress free season ending, and now they are in utter turmoil (again). :-?

Bad news for Sleepy considering there've been a lot reports today that it's likely that Cisse will leave Freiburg.

Was obvious since Wolfsburg went after him this winter. In the past, Freiburg usually had handshake agreements with their players (and staff) that there won't be problems if a big team throws large amount of cash around. Schwaab, Riether, Aogo, Pitroipa (Kehl, Kobiashivilli, ...) were all let go when the opportunity arose to play for top clubs. Same with Toprak and Dutt now and probably the same with Cisse.

They are going after Nils Petersen and those arrangements will be a big reason to get him to sign for less money.

What could be even worse than the loss of Cisse is the likely(?) Bastians transfer to Schalke. That'd suck. Really, really suck.

Oh well, I always assume the worst for every season. Why should next year be any difference...

Oh, anyone wanna bet whether Finke will stay in Cologne for 16 years?

SCF is going after Nils Petersen? That guy is a stud. I see Freiburg as a great place for a young player, it would make sense. I am curious though how your new coach (Marcus Sorg) is going to work.

And no, I don't see Finke coaching Cologne in 2027  Cologne has eaten up 22 coaches in the last 22 years, it is a real "Schleudersitz".

Beck is rumored to go to Juve for about the 527th time now. This time it seems more serious. :dontknow:

No idea about Sorg, don't know that guy. We haven't had a bad coach in the last 20 years (well, duh ) so I'll give him the benefit of doubt. If it works, great; if not, it was a cheap and drama-free try. Can't complain about that...

Petersen has a 4mil€ clause in his contract. That would be the biggest transfer ever, by far, but if we sell Cisse for like 15mil€, it's doable. Question is: Would he sign in Freiburg if other Bundesliga teams are also in the mix? Would be a smart decision, as he'd get lots of playing time at a good club (really!) and another opt-out clause. He could also go to a team like Bremen (Hoffenheim?), that undoubtly pays much higher wages...

The otherwise totally pointless match between Hamburg and Freiburg could become really important if Germany gets another Euro league place via the fairplay coefficint. Not sure how the ranking looks like exactly, but if Germany gets another starter, either Hamburg oder Freiburg will make it.

So who cares about goals... don't get no cards is important today.

I'm lovin this Mainz 05 team. Completely destroying rival Eintracht Frankfurt. Up 3-0 at half time, Frankfurt's Rode got a red card shortly before halftime and a regular goal was even whistled offside. Should be 4-0 right now.

On a side note, it's highly likely I'll win my bet with a friend who is Eintracht fan. Döner here I come.

Dortmund is Meister and Cisse rocks.

Nothing we didn't know beforehand, but it's good to have the confirmation.

Lol @ Hannover losing at home against Gladbach. Munich with the big chance to overtake them with a win against Schalke.

BTW Watching the Bayern - Schalke match, damn Metzelder regressed in a decade. From the classiest defender in 2002 to the biggest liability in the Bundesliga

Even in 2002 he never was world class. :dontknow:

Moving to Real Madrid was probably the worst he could do from a personal development point of view. It has benefited his bank account, though. :D
