So...
Not only is today Good Friday. But also Earth Day.

Bring in one of those travel mugs into Starbucks and they'll fill it full of coffee for free!

I really liked the old rule on inbounding the ball where the 5 sec count
keeps going until the ball is actually touched inbounds.

I hate the way the ball is often inbounded now where the
offensive teams play a game of chicken with the defense
allowing the ball to roll towards midcourt or beyond before
picking it up.

The 5 sec count should continue until the ball is actually touched.

Jim -- I think the league needs to take counting calls (except for 3 seconds in the lane) away from refs. 5-second inbound plays should be on the shot clock, even if they need a second clock for those plays. The 8-second count is already checked on the shot clock, but if they add a second clock, they could have a buzzer. The 10-second count on free throws should be on the shot clock too.

I'm. So. Tired.

Not only did my toddler-aged daughter have a difficult morning.

I was sleeping soundly until 4 a.m. When, suddenly, I was awoken by the sounds of my wife watching...The. Royal. Wedding.

Shoot me.

Pine, right around the time my divorce was final my best friend on the island got married. I purposely avoided saying anything negative or even letting on how I felt, but I could help but feeling sorry for him. I'm glad I had a legit excuse for missing the wedding. I was on time with the card and gift.

Weddings depress me now. For those of you who are happy, I'm happy for you. I know that a happy marriage is a great thing. But right now, about 75% of military marriages are ending in divorce, and I'm seeing how that ends up.

I'm not a romantic any more. Weddings can be the beginning of the end. :( No way in hades am I watching the Royal Wedding. :-?

I watched clips of the Royal Wedding. I think it's cool that stuff like this still happens. Plus Kate Middleton is every guys dream girl. Beautiful, smart and elegant.

Her sister is hotter, but I watched some of it last night (I spent my Saturday night watching clips of the Wedding and watching White Men Can't Jump) and it was cool. I mean, I still don't care about it, and I stand by my FB status that the NFL Draft was more important, but it was cool, it's fine. I bet Kate got a private tour of Big Ben....eh eh eh eh eh eh....fail?

Was thinking, Ji started the draft lottery thread last year....should we try and go for 2/2 and have him start the thread this year? Or should we bump last year's one and see if it's a good luck charm? What should we do!?

Just found out that Robert Traylor is dead. He was only 34 years old and had a heart attack, years after having a heart procedure.

Ironically, Dirk Nowitzki is in peak NBA form and condition after all these years in the league, but the man he was traded for on draft day has died.

RIP indeed, I can't believe he was only 34.

It doesn't matter. The poster formerly known as Ji was suspended by a pussy Heat Mod in an obvious attempt to ruin our lotto luck this year.

Those bastards! <shakes fist>

Well... maybe we can select some random guy who seems to carry on the spirit of a Ji. His name should start with J, obviously. And have numbers in it - that seems appropriate, for some reason. Any ideas?

<ahem>

There is a poster who is...ahem...very, VERY similar in posting to Ji. His screen name is Jay81.

Dude (Jay81), you're up on the lottery thread.

If you win #1 or #2 this year, you get first dibs on Wizards opening night again.

This seems like a recipe for disaster...

We don't have anymore philanthropic icons we can sacrifice in order to overcome Ji's terrible mojo.

Hopefully the Teddy happy buddha karma can overcome the odds but: that may be too much to ask of the guy.

I just chewed off all my fingernails fretting about this...

adelman coaching the lakers would be roughly 143 times weirder than seeing your HS teacher outside of the context of school. 883 times weirder than watching a dog on its hind legs. 3 times weirder than seeing blatche in a wedding dress.

The world's most perfect food item must be a krispy kreme glazed dougnut, fresh out of the fryer. Warm and sugary.
