This is heading my way right now. Direct hit. In 3 hours. And according to the national weather service this is labeled a particularly dangerous situation.
I remember Hugo in 1989. Obviously different. But I remember having to be prepared for what we were told was going to be a direct hit. We got some wind, some rain, and the most beautiful scene I can recall after the storm left. All in all hugo was a bad rain storm.
Freaking sucks cause im so tired and was looking forward to getting to bed early. Now I got to go outside and cuss at the sky swinging a machete at 2am.
The way they are talking about this, ..............., seems very serious. So lets see.
Here in North AL. Lost power though no serious damage in my town. They were saying power would not come on for another week though we're already regaining some. Not sure for Huntsville, AL though and it could push close to a week for them from everything the radio has said. Mad dash today for gas and supplies and quiet happy the power is coming on though its still out at my place. In a motel for tonight and thankful my area was not severely damaged. Saw some areas during my gas hunt, power lines leaning, trees snapped like tooth picks, interstate sign wrapped around its self and a huge billboard destroyed. Thankfully we got off easy in my town.
