Will Haddadi get mins in the playoffs?

Post#1 » by PersianCeltic » Sat Apr 16, 2011 1:04 am

Celtics fan here but I am also a big fan of Haddadi as well as Tony Allen. I haven't seen Haddadi play much but I have seen box scores that seem to indicate when he gets mins he produces. Do you think he will get any burn in the playoffs? I have seen him play in FIBA leagues and he seems like he has good potential, size as well as shooting range for a center. I feel that if he had some chances in the playoffs he could be an x factor that helps win a game. Thoughts?

There's a chance he will get some time in the playoffs. Considering the depth the Spurs have at center, he'll probably see around 10-12 minutes @ best.

He'll definitely see some playing time. Hopefully he gives us some productive minutes, especially on the offensive and defensive boards.

Haddadi played a few minutes yesterday but he committed a travel and was benched right afterwards. That was so strange to play him with Marc Gasol at the same time. We were really trying to dominate Tim Duncan and shut him down I guess with our own twin towers!

Yes I saw that he played a had a turnover :( Anyway I really feel that he can play but he needs mins to get into the flow. He's got good potential.

Nah bro he sucks flat out garbage player. The positive thing is we have an Iranian in the NBA so hopefully in the next ten years we can start producing some real special players. I can see a Iranian Stojacovic or Ginobli one day.

Arsalan Kazemi seems to be pretty good at Rice University... he played well when Iran played the USA last year...

I am a big Haddadi fan too.. and having seen what he can do, I don't think he is garbage. I dont think the Spurs matchup was a good one for him, Memphis kept a pretty tight rotation during that series especially with the Spurs not really having any true big men anymore (Duncan is too old and the PFs can handle all other bigs on that team)

I think he should get some more minutes against OKC but he would probably see the most minutes against a team like the Lakers where they have a ton of size upfront.

On a side note - Arselan from Rice is definitely solid, as a sophomore he is in the top 10 in rebs and is a decent scorer. He should continue to improve upon his college ranking in the next year.

It should definitely be interesting... if Memphis can play with the intensity and D like they did against the Spurs then I see a really tough match-up for OKC.

Its tough because I want the lakers to lose and the Thunder provide the biggest threat in the western conference but I want Memphis to beat OKC...
