NFLN - Top 100 of 2011 - 5/25

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Sat Apr 30, 2011 4:56 pm

This should be entertaining.

7:00 pm tonight, 100-91, on the NFL Network.

I'm gonna predict seven make the list.

Rodgers
Jennings
Sitton
Matthews
Woodson
Williams
Collins

I could see that and someone like Collins or Sitton or both not on the list. If Finley had been healthy all season he would have made it.

Then again, this list is who the league thinks will be top 100 in 2011, not who was best in 2010.

So we'll see.

They already revealed a few players on the list as teasers. Rodgers is #11

Thought he should be a little higher considering he just won the Superbowl MVP. I'm not sure if the player voting was done after the season or mid season.

Raji is on the list. Saw a video of him in the teaser on nfl.com.

DB- as for Collins, he most definitely is on the list also. They released a teaser preview for him too.

Who will the NFL pick to fill the other 47 spots?

The NFL Network ran a little stat based on what round each of these players was drafted in. 57 were in the first round, and 11 were undrafted free agents. Innnnteresting. I think that makes Tramon Williams a lock to be in the list.

Packers also lead the league with 7 players making the list. A few teams were tied for second with 5.

If we had 7 make the list, then I gotta think it is DB's list.

If Raji is on it my guess is Sitton didn't make it.

I don't know how Sitton couldn't make the list. He is regarded by a lot of people as the best guard in the league. He has to be on there.

Well if what an_also said is correct then it's simple deduction. Rodgers, Raji, Matthews, and Collins are on there. Then you have Jennings, Sitton, Woodson and Williams.

Someone is getting left off.

4 more spots left to fill out the 7
I'm guessing Woodson, Tramon, Jennings and Claymaker

No doubt, although Lombardi always raves about Clifton on Bill Simmons's podcast. I've always heard rumors that Clifton is one of the LT that guys like Vandenbosch and Peppers hate going against.

Who knows, but maybe it isn't that far off. Clifton post week 10 was leaps and bounds better than the Clifton of the first half of the season. With some guys that don't like to talk to reporters, I don't think we get any sense at all of their experience of nagging minor injuries throughout the season that really throws their game off.
You gotta make it sexy! Hips and nips, otherwise I'm not eating.

Isn't it just for last season?

If so, Clifton was a beast. So that doesn't surprise me. Seems like some worthy players are going to get snubbed though.

Man, I wish I had NFL Network. I hope the new apartment has access to UVerse.
