I don't have any problems with you using Jeter as your whipping boy but spread the blame.
The most reliable bat for the world champion SF Giants was Aubrey Huff and Renteria (someone they didn't want back at first). Neither of those guys hit over .300...vets don't have to be the main cog in order to win.
