I think there is a solid chance that "Lapdance Tuesday" might get Blatche traded this offseason. I have no problem with Andray gonig to a strip club and getting lap dances. Hell, it is an improvement over soliciting an undercover police officer. But to sponsor lap dance Tuesday, and Tweet about it, is just stupid and classless.

If there ever was anyone I would be interested in seeing tweet about going to the gym and eating a chicken sandwich it would be Blatche. While lap dance Tuesday may be more interesting, it doesn't bode well for him to develop his talent.

That's what he tweeted earlier today. Just because he's having fun doesn't mean he's not trying to get better. He's staying in Miami for the summer. I'm sure if you guys were in Miami, y'all would be doing the same ting. And it's not like it's a strip club, he's hosting a party. And athlete's host parties all the time. I think many of you just criticize it because of his history, which is warranted, but this doesn't mean he's up to his old ways. If he's doing this stuff and working on his game at the same time, I have no problem with it.

Andray is a public figure and an athlete, so his lifestyle is fair game for scrutiny and criticism. A lot of us can infer that he might be addicted to sex/pornography and/or he could have issue with alcoholism.

While that sounds damning, I cannot help but think of myself and not judge him harshly on something I struggle with. Sex and/or porn have been a problem for me over the years. I am not going to be a hypocrite and think badly of Blatche for having the same character flaw or weakness I do.

As for him sponsoring parties and what not, dude is young, real tall, rich and famous. And he likes women. So, I would say that he is what he is. How many of us have been to strip clubs, brothels, seen all kinds of porn and been with more than a few members of the opposite sex? Some are proud of it but who isn't? It is hard to be secure in this world now because women have gotten to be bigger players than men these days. Andray does what he does but he's not going to have any problem with folks attending his party.

For those of you raised better than that or have higher morals, in all seriousness good for you. When I was young like Andray I didn't have sadness or guilt about it. Knowing what I know now about offering my body as a living sacrifice and living by the Spirit and not pursuing the desires of the flesh; as well as what I know about how marriage SHOULD be sacred between a man and wife, all I can say is I know the real world is mostly depressingly different.

So, Andray has some profligate ways apparently? Makes him like most of us.

My biggest issue is that this is still evidence that he hasn't really matured yet. It's not so much that he's throwing the party that bugs me, it's just that he'll be 25 years old this August and has basically partied non-stop since turning 21 (and probably before that). One would hope that he would outgrow this by now.

He's like that cliche guy in your college fraternity who parties every single night and you always find him passed out somewhere by morning. He's fun to hang out with, but you know deep down he's not going to amount to much in life. Most serious students can manage to dial back the partying to just Friday and Saturday night - at least by the time they're 23 years old.

I'm not condemning or judging Blatche for being a sex/porn addict -- IF he is one. I'm acutely aware that he's as human as the rest of us, as is every NBA player I've talked with. Except maybe Battier -- hard to believe any human could be as polite, thoughtful and classy as that guy.

My point in mentioning it is that IF he's out of control in that area, his activities MAY be eating into time he might otherwise spend on getting better in his job. Same way an office worker who spends a couple hours a day looking at porn (or reading Internet message boards...ahem) on his office computer would likely be more productive spending his time doing actual work.

I'm not looking down on Blatche at all. He's human, and ALL of us have our personal struggles and demons. When I skimmed through Blatche's Twitter feed, there seemed to be a pretty singular focus. He might benefit from some help in refocusing on stuff more important to him in the long run. I've seen firsthand how porn and sex addictions can wreck lives and destroy families. If he has a problem, it'd be great if he could get some help. That's all.

nate, I knew a guy in my fraternity who had been in the army a few years before becoming a student. This guy was 32 and hanging out with guys 18-23 years old. He was running with the same girls and traveling in all the same circles as the young dudes. Pretty unusual in some ways, but he certainly had himself a good time. I'm not sure what he was studying but I still remember a couple of the women he was ... friends with.

Nivek, porn and sex addictions are things I think are ruining mankind in general. If you look at how people all over the world are using webcams and chat and how we choose to express ourselves as humans, you'll see a deterioration of family and of self respect. Just the opposite of what the bible says how we should live is happening. Our culture in general is going to hell and I don't want to be a part of it.

Blatche is free to do what he does, but I agree with fugop on the tweets. After the guy commented on Osama the other day it made me think freedom of speech is a great thing except maybe when idiots reach millions with sheer lunacy. Blatche is shouting out to much fewer, and to his followers, but he still represents a team.

Freedom of speech does not per se extend to private companies and even folks like teachers, military, heck most folks; have to watch what they say in public because their image can be construed to be that of their company or brand.

Whatever Blatche is doing that really doesn't enhance his image or at least make him seem like a solid pro, he probably needs to maintain low tones with it.

I agree, and I think *most* sportspeople should be well, maybe not banned by their teams, but encouraged NOT to use Twitter/Facebook. Or at least keep it restricted to their close friends ONLY.

Teams need to extend their codes of conduct guidelines for players into the digital realm. You cant say some things direct to the media without penalties and repercussions, players need to realise saying certain things on Twitter is no different to saying it infront of a camera.

Some athletes keep it clean though. Im a 'fan' of Kevin Durant on Facebook, he updates quite regularly mostly about games and getting ready/getting pumped up, but the other day he updated saying he was taking his Grandma to the movies. Awwww.

Blatche needs to either take a leaf out of respectable guy's books or like i said in my other post, keep it on the DL.

I think you guys are reaching just a bit with the alcoholism/ sex addictions lol. He's not doing anything any diff than any other players do. He should probably just be paying closer attention to what he chooses to do publicly because of his past trouble. He should get help about how to help shed a label that he placed upon himself in his first couple of years.
I'm not making excuses for him or trying to make him out to be some poor victim I'm just talking about this particular instance.
KD parties too and he will be 23 soon (if not already) not much younger than Blatche. He has hosted parties around the city as well. AB should just be smarter because of hows he's already been tagged. He has screwed up in the past definitely but i think people are reading too deep into this one.

If all of a sudden any of us were immersed in a lifestyle surrounded by women and millions of dollars we'd be out partying too more than likely. Its easy to say what you wouldn't do now that most of us are much older and don't have the money, women, or ability to host parties at a club. IDK maybe its a generational gap.

I mistakenly thought that the "Lap Dance Tuesday" was a weekly thing at a strip club. Going to a strip club weekly I don't have a problem with, but tweeting about it would show misguided priorities.

Promoting one party at a club during the off season, seems reasonable to me. I am glad to hear that he is getting workouts in also
