Board Draft Consensus - Poll No.1
I might be offline during weekend, so I just thought I may create this one in advance, contenders for the very first pick fo this draft will most porbably stay in and meanwhile more people visiting this board can realize we have starting with these polls. I guess we can start slowly and close his one on Saturday, do the second one on Sunday and since that one starting with traditional one day for poll limit. Feel free to do one when it is due when you don't see me around - just in case I would go offline fro some time.
So the question is, how should Bobcats draft order look like, this time we are deciding who should be No.1 i.e. who should Bobcats draft if they could get anybody from this year draft crop. Then we wil do No.2, No.3 etc. reagardless where Bobcats will end up picking. Trading the picks not an option, if you can't find who you consider best option, chose write-in option and tell us in the thread who that should be.

You have disenfranchised me.

2 for Williams so far...interesting.
I'm the 1st Irving pick.
I was torn between Williams and Irving, but in this league you need a top tier pg to be a contender.

If we have #1, I have to go Irving.

Gotta go with the superstar pointguard when one is available. Kyrie would be my pick at #1

Bismack? I'd take him 2nd tops, but over Kyrie...eh not a reach either way. Just surprised someone here favors him that high.

Re: Board Draft Consensus - Poll No.1
Why do people think Irving is so good? Didn't he barely play? Is this just another case of CHA fans overrating one of their local college "stars?"
I imagine the hype is based on something other than their performance in the NCAAs, because Williams certainly seems to have the advantage in that regard.
Is Williams projected to be a SF or a PF in the pros?

^He's projected to be a PF. I'm leaning towards a tougher version of Chris Bosh, with range.

Re: Board Draft Consensus - Poll No.1
Marvel, I've actually heard Williams is projected to play more of a big SF rather than a PF. He is fast enough to play with the SF's in the league, but much bigger and stronger than them so as to give him an advantage. I think he can actually play both positions tho which makes him quite valuable.
Hamilton, the thing about Kyrie Irving is simply that he is the best PG in college. Better than Knight or Kemba Walker. And he is only a FR. So if you need a PG, then he is the pick. If you have a PG, then you go with Williams. We have DJ, who is OK, but Irving has a ceiling that DJ cannot get close to. From all I have heard from the talking heads, he is expected to be a better version of John Wall, but a tick under Rose. And right now, I think just about every PG in the game is a tick below Rose. And I can live with that for about 15 years.

Williams is a more efficient, perimeter oriented Josh Smith. He'll play the SF but has the ability to slide over in the right matchups.
I also don't think Kyrie will be a superstar.

Same. I picked Irving on a coin toss over Williams.

I thought about Williams a bit... ultimately I think that if we somehow won the lottery, I would want us to take the player with the best chance of being a real difference-maker. I think that's more Irving than Williams.

I think either way we win. We could use both, but it sounds like the consensus out there is Irving is the best player.

Cheers Doc, It's that time of year again!!!!!!
I voted Williams, everyone's gone PG crazy. Irving will be very good but I don't believe that he will ever be a top 5 PG in his career, Williams is the real deal & will score at will in the league & play great team basketball & plays what i consider our biggest positional need at the 3 & 4. This guy will be what Mike Beasley was supposed to be.

Kyrie seems like the best player in the draft, so, him.

Re: Board Draft Consensus - Poll No.1
close call for me between williams and kyrie, but i had to go with kyrie first. kyrie can eventually be a top 5 pg. i'm not sure williams has the potential to be top 5 at his position. i wish we had more to go on with kyrie though.

I still think people are overrating Kyrie a bit. I wish I could find the article I read a couple of weeks ago that really laid out why Kyrie is going to have trouble cracking the top 5-10 pgs in the future

Re: Board Draft Consensus - Poll No.1
Been shown that 1s & 5s currently have the biggest impact on win production so between Kyrie & Enes for me and had to go with Kyrie
