Trade #1 (*1)

The PK5/Suns caught wind that The Sonics had gotten cold feet and were looking into a deal with GSW. Never to be caught flat-footed PK5 quickly finalized a similar deal with the Sixerlover/Jazz. Trading away their 2nd and 3rd rounders to the Jazz for their 1st(#21 overall) and 5th round picks.

Trade #2 (*2)

While the TK76/Sonics shipped out their coveted #18 overall pick in a complex deal with the Eyatoma/Warriors. Basically in exchange for moving back to the 26th pick in the 1st, 3rd and 5th rounds the Sonics get GSW's 2nd round pick. The Sonics also sent their 6th rounder for an 8th rounder from GSW.

Brian Windhorst at the Heat index is reporting that the Heat have finally managed to acquire that additional 1st round pick they have been seeking. Word from Miami is that Dallas will part with their 1st, 4th and 12th round picks in exchange for Miami's 2nd, 3rd and 6th round pics. The Heat currently already are slotted to draft #7 overall, so adding this second 1st rounder might be the beginning of building another super-team in South beach. It was touch and go for a while, but after both teams watched other GM's make similar moves, Riley and Cuban put their egos aside and finalized the deal. No truth to the rumor's that Riley wanted stock options in broadcast.com

David Stern's office reports that the League (Dilbert) controlled Hornets have traded the right for their 3rd and 7th round picks to the Suns in exchange for the PK5/Sun's 4th and 5th round picks. The league denies that this is a cost cutting move for the Hornets, and say they made the move because it made basketball sense. As for the PK5/Suns, they have been more active than any other franchise in the run-up to the draft. They now have traded their way back into the 3rd round after they had previously moved their 3rd rounder as part of a larger deal to acquire a second 1st rounder.

Basically...you can trade picks just like the NBA/NFL does. You don't need the same amount of picks, but have at least 10 picks at all time.

Draft Night is Monday May 9th. Still, you can trade throughout the draft.

Pk5, where will we based the ratings from? Sorry if this has been asked before. Will this be based on 2k11's default rating? Which is pretty bad since guys like Kevin Love is rated at a much lower rating.

Yes, we'll be using 2K11. But, don't draft according to 2K11. All that is for is **** and giggles. Draft according to the team you would want to see the 76ers have next season...how they would actually do in reality. But...if you guys let Kevin Love drop to the 2nd Round, I won't complain.

Another thing with 2K11...just because your team may have the highest rating overall, doesn't mean you'll win...or even make the playoffs. Take that from a personal experience. You really do have to build your team smartly.

Also, injuries WILL be on. So having a front court of Yao and Oden isn't the smartest.

I just need some other posters to judge our teams which I'm confident a few from the board will step up.

I don't think they'd be using that one because the latest roster have some guys having negative values in their rating because of their injury status.

There is no right way. Some people build rosters to "win now" while other try to construct a young, cheap roster with a bright future. A lot ends up being determined by your first 2 or 3 picks in terms of what direction is available. For example, at #18 I doubt I'll be able to build a "win now" roster because I won't have a top 10 superstar. So I might end up going for more of a future type team.
