Maybe im looking too much into it, but he seems to be a little more cocky. Plus his comments on the MVP award this year. He used to such a chill dude, now hes talking too much.
I think every superstar goes through this phase. Wade is entering the stage where he is in the 2nd part of his prime where the oldies are finally getting old (Kobe, Pierce, etc) and he is the best now. Kobe also acted like this in a similar age. Here's a cycle that I made up lol. I'd say Rose is between 4 and 5. Wade is at 6 to 7. LeBron is at 6. Kobe is at 8 to 9.
1. Rookie - you look to prove yourself and get media attention.
2. Transcendence to Stardom - still hungry to get your name out, but you're out there. you play well most of the time and are emerging in the media
3. Stardom - you've established yourself as a good star player with decent media attention, but not a player at the elite level
4. Transcendence to Superstardom - the media is hyping you up, you're chasing the veteran superstars, and your team is succeeding. you are still looking to improve as much as you can.
5. Early Superstar - you've established yourself as one of the best in the league. people know what kind of player you are. people love you as you are good and media loves you too. you're still not that cocky.
6. Prime Superstar - you are a de facto superstar. you're not really looking to exponentially expand and improve your game. you have more swagger and cockiness. you feel as you are at the top. media endorsements and other egotistical stuff is common.
7. Late Superstar - your game is declining only a little. you aren't as dominant, but you are still one of the best. new superstars are emerging and challenging you. you still think you are awesome and are cocky.
8. Decline in Prime - your game is declining more. you aren't as dominant. new players legitimately challenging you. people will still claim that you're the best, but some will name the new players the new superstars. you aren't as cocky as you realize your mortality. you still can take over games, but not like you could before.
9. Veteran - your game is much lesser. you're still getting it done but in other crafty ways. there are new superstars in the game. you are still respected. much more selfless and really only concerned about team success.
