There was a stretch 3 minutes left in the 2nd qtr and Bynum was getting hot. Instead of keep on getting him the ball all I see is jump shot after jump shot. It was really frustrating.

Chuck is looking pretty good right now. Actually, what's interesting is not his prediction, but that the reasoning for the prediction is holding up.

The Lakers can still win this series, but this is obviously not a matter of Lakers having to simply flip a switch. They have to play great (especially Kobe) to counteract the Dallas bench, and some of the issues they are having (touches for Drew, Pau not assertive/effective) have been stories all year for the team.

Their margin for error is essentially zero now.

what's more demoralizing about this aside from Chuck being right (I hope not), if they win Game 5, is Game 6 will be on Staples and a loss would be really damaging. I'm not so sure if fans will boo or cheer the team because of their recent performances.

The Lakers for the past three seasons have had the benefit of being the biggest team in the west with a great player and good bench play which is why they won the last two championships. They dont have that luxury now, since the Dallas Mavericks team has equal size, more depth and a great scorer with Dirk to match Kobe. LA has played very well, but they've been very fortunate, playing Orlando in the finals as opposed to the Boston Celtics who had a injured Garnett prohibited them from defending the championship, then playing Boston in the finals without Perkins in game 7 due to injury, and the fact that LA had the biggest frontcourt in the western conference for the past 3 seasons is the reason they got that far. Theirs still a chance the Lakers can win, but it looks the the run is about to end.

Bynum was absent in 2008 and basically on one leg last years, so I don't know where you see we had the biggest frontcourt in the nba for the last 3 seasons.

The bench play has never been great, especially last year where Phil Jackson more than often had to reinsert the starters late in the games because the bench had lost the lead they had built.

Nope. Game 5 would be in Staples. 6 will be back in Dallas. The format you are thinking of is only used in the finals.
