How long should it be for? Please no: "Throw him out of the league" overreactions.

3rd time he killed a guy in the air with his ellbow: Crash, Beasley and now Barea when the game was over.

The guy need a 5-10 game suspension for this ****.

It should be at least 20 Games. It was clearly malicious, an elbow with no play on the ball.

5 games considering this is the 2nd time he has pulled this crap- that could have resulted in Barea breaking his arm

I don't like suspensions, but it should be a huge fine, a record fine, $500k that could go up to a $750k even if he's ejected for a flagrant 2 during the next season. I wish they'd replace suspensions for larger fines in the next CBA.

I would take a guess at maybe 10 games.

If your gonna do that, might as well fine him at least 10 games worth of pay checks in lieu of having to sit the whole time, since he wouldnt get the game checks anyway, which would be 1.8mil

same play that collapsed gerald wallace's lung. of course 2 years ago, bynum claimed he was "going for the ball" and many people gave him the benefit of the doubt and refused to label him as cheap, dirty player. 3 times later and its clear he doesnt get it. its one thing to be a protector of the paint and to deliver hard fouls, especially in the playoffs, but deliberately trying to injury a player when you are losing by 30 points in the 4th quarter is unacceptable.

repeat offenders should be punished more harshly then others. 10 games sounds about right + a very large fine.

Agree. 20 games minimum. He could have broken Barrea's hip and ribs, perhaps ended his career.

10 games? Not sure what the recent precedence for intentionally trying to injure another player is. Fighting these days results in long drawn out suspensions, and a malicious move like that could have very well sparked a fight.

But no fight occurred, and Barea eventually got back up.

The severity of the suspension will affect Bynum's trade value since he'll have to serve his suspension with whatever team he's signed with at the start of next season. This immediately throws a monkey wrench into whatever plans Kupchak may have this summer.

Hes a punk. Hope he gets a large fine and suspension. Im all for rough play, but the things he does are dirty and unacceptable.
