I guess Phil can say he's done it all. Including NOT 3-peating and getting swept :s.

Man what a punk LA team. How can you send him off like that.

Congrats goes out to Dirk, Kidd, Peja and all those other guys who've tasted redemption.

My wish is granted. I don't care who wins this year, as long as it is not the Fakers.

My Mavs may not win either, but I just want to say we did our part to sweep the Lakers.

By "god" Jason Terry must've meant Mark Cuban.

Have you read what Lakers fans are saying? You're clearly in the minority. Its called Facebook.

Have you ever considered that the jackasses cheering that play are the minority, but they're just more vocal? That the Lakers fans embarrassed by that play aren't taking to the streets to parade their embarrassment around for everyone?

Christ. Let up. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by crapping on am entire fanbase[/quote]

The majority of Laker fans are these types of people. Bandwagoners and punks. Its not the real fans fault, but the fact is all these people latch onto the franchise since they're so good. Even in LA the Lakers fans rating plummeted after they stopped winning and went up once they were good.

Its just like the Yankees.

A good bench is useless in the playoffs.

The bad ones seem to have disappeared in this thread though. Lets not forget what we had to go through the entire season

"LOL REGULAR SEASON NOT IMPORTANT"
"LOL KOBE >> JORDAN"
"LOL 2-2 HORNETS? GAMES DONT MATTER"
"LOL DOWN 0-1? LOL"
"LOL DOWN 0-2? WHATEVS"
"LOL DOWN 0-3? LAKERS WILL MAKE HISTORICAL COMEBACK"
LOL DOWN 25 with 20 MINUTES LEFT? GET DWIGHt HOWARD"

Well every team has it's bad apples but guys like Jay, Doc MJ, Sedale, Snaquille, Slava, etc etc are all great guys. Not familiar with you before a few days ago but you seem solid too.

I'm happy for Dallas & Dirk...i remember in the offseason people were saying Dirk should leave as a FA because the team wasn't salvageable, and no WC team could beat LA anyway.

Amazing how things change in just 1 season.

Very good series by the Mavs. It's amazing this is the first time Kobe and Dirk have faced in the playoffs.

Terry is a de facto starter, our 'bench points' stats is always inflated because of that.

Tough to do when playing 1 on 4. Dallas played great defense against him. Nice gameplan to let anyone else beat them.

Dallas has to be the favorite here on out. Sweeping the defending champs and winning by 36 is what they needed to get this team thinking right and showing us they have the killer instinct to take over and dominate anyone.

They should be unstoppable all the way to the finals and I think Miami or Chicago will meet them there. Boston would be cool to get there if Rondo was healthy but that is just too big an injury to overcome.

Dirk has some talent around him now so the rest of the league better worry because the Mavericks are going to win it all this year.

EVEN AS A CELTICS FAN, I wanted to see the lakers go out with class, dignity, and while playing the best basketball they could. I wanted to see this championship franchise give Phil the best send-off they could, and go down with their heads held high.

But instead they make themselves look like a bunch of sore loser thugs?

Are you 12 years old Bynum? People, including kids, look up to you man, you can't be doing that ****, Artest is expected to, its still wrong when he does stuff like this, but its expected.

Bunch of sore loser jackasses on the court right now, so sad the team that has given Boston so many good games throughout the past few years (and the NBA's history in general) goes down like this, but its deserved.

TRUE COLORS COME OUT.

Good job Dirk!

LOL at celtics fan pouncing on Lakers at this opportunity. Don't act like celtics are classier team than lakers. Ray Allen is the only one who doesn't play dirty.

And Kobe's window closes the same way it began: By getting swept out of the playoffs. Too bad he couldn't shoot a few airballs in the fourth to really drive the comparison home. Pretty sure MJ never got swept. But we all know that Kobe's no MJ.
