You know it wouldn't surprise me if he got something less than 5 games.

Re: Bynum's Suspension
Keep in mind that Stephen Jackson got a 30 game suspension for going into the stands and BEATING UP FANS.
I'd say 10 games for him actually.

Stupid Artest and Bynum attack the smallest guy on the court. Sore losers. I'm glad the Lakers got swept.

Bynum deserves every injury he's ever had, and all the ones to come. I'd go 30 games.

Re: Bynum's Suspension
I'd say 10 games at least. You can end a guys career with cheapshots like that. And he's a repeat offender.
IMO that is far worse than going for a guys head, worse case scenario you might give him a concussion. If you try and take a guy out in the air like that you can seriously end his career, especailly considering the size difference.

Translation, I am a punk ass bitch, we were pissed off in how we played, so we wanted to get the last punch in the fight when the fight was over.

Re: Bynum's Suspension
I was very impressed with Bynum's intensity in this series, both in game and speaking out. In previous years Bynum always had a look on his face that made you just scream, 'WAKE UP!!' Well this season and in the playoffs in particular it seemed like he was coming in to his own and I think a lot of Laker fans saw him as a lone bright spot in these lackluster playoffs. This made his actions tonight really difficult to swallow. As if getting swept wasn't embarassing enough...

Re: Bynum's Suspension
Yeah, I'd agree with everyone that I don't think the suspension will be as long as most here think it should be.
And I'd agree that the Rondo thing isn't even comparable. A point guard pulling down another small guy is completely different from a huge guy elbowing a little guy in the guts while in midair. Even if you're trying to say that Rondo should have been suspended... so? How does that pertain to this topic? If you think Rondo should have been suspended, then Bynum should certainly be suspended.
Dang, I'm not going to wish any more injuries on him but dang. Comments like this should certainly be taken into consideration when assessing the appropriate penalty.

Re: Bynum's Suspension
Should get 10-15 games. While I think it would be lame but a assault charge is possible. It certainly has happened in other sports.

The guy broke with exactly the same play a guys rips and let his lung collapse and he does the same thing AGAIN because he felt embarressed??
WTF? Double up his suspension because he learned nothing...

Re: Bynum's Suspension
10+.
i've seen and experienced enough mid air collisions where the guy goes off balance and end up getting severely hurt.
this type of approach to the game just not right.

Re: Bynum's Suspension
Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall coldfish equating Rondo slamming Hinrich into the scorer's table with the bush league move that Bynum did today. He brought it up as an example of an unpunished act that demonstrates that the league has a history of handing out suspensions/fines that are typically less than what the fans expect. The league is extremely inconsistent in that regard.
Now that may not happen in this case. From what I have seen this play by Bynum is getting lots of attention, deservedly so, so we will probably see a fairly severe punishment handed down. The league tends to react fairly quickly when a negative moment gets a lot of air time. Given Andrew's history and the discussion this is generating, yeah, he is sitting for 5+ games.

Re: Bynum's Suspension
Maybe Barea should hire Tonya Harding's ex-bf to pull another Nancy Kerigan on Bynum...
