Re: 2010-11 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread
A trade thought that I see with the Wiz on here a lot no matter what people say about this I feel its fair both ways.
Raps Trade: Bargnani+Amir Johnson+Leandro Barbosa+TPE(5.094 mil)
Raps Receive: Lewis+4th pick+Blatche+Jordan Crawford
Wiz are trading the 4th pick, and turning Lewis into Bargnani and Barbosa, which Barbosa is a expiring. So they get out of a lot of Lewis's contract a year earlier while picking up Bargnani who is young and able to hide his deficiencies behind McGee who is a good rebounder and great shot blocker. They also pick up some TPE that could come in handy and have more cap space to add to their core. Amir and Blatche are equal value for the respectable teams defense and rebounding for offense and rebounding while on the same contract. For Raptors this is a good deal getting rid of Bargnani who doesn't fit without a good rebounder and defensive prowl at center. At the cost of that they give up they're expiring piece who is still a good player and 6th man but worth it for the 4th pick that Washington doesn't really need as they will have a pg, center and power forward for the future in Wall, McGee, and Bargnani. And as i said far value for Amir and Blatche raps needa scoring power forward off the bench as a 6th man. They get that in Blatche and rebounding, and Crawford is just another young add on to this trade he really doesn't have to be included. We could even throw in James Johnson optional.
Kyrie Irving(Raps pick)/Jerryd Bayless/Jose Calderon(needs to be traded)
Demar DeRozan/Jordan Crawford
Reshard Lewis/James Johnson/Linas Kleiza
Ed Davis/Andray Blatche/
Enes Kanter(Wizards pick)/Samuel Dalembert signed for MLE/Alabi
Another option is with our pick the 3rd pick say we get we pick Kanter. With the Wizard's pick say 4th pick we pick Kemba Walker or Brandon Knight.

Raptors list of rookies should be PJ3, Lillard, Rivers, Waiters, or Harkless.
I say draft Lillard, Waiters, or Harkless.

This one is highly unlikely but if Spurs wanna try something new before they re-tool this will help.
Raps Trade: Calderon+Bargnani+James Johnson+Linas Kleiza
Spurs Trade: Tony Parker+McDyess+Bonner+Anderson
Outta this deal Spurs get more better role players than they have and Bargnani could start beside Duncan. They get 2 years of Calderon which is cheaper than Tony and then they can start Hill like they want to. James Johnson could turn into a really good two way player over there and Kleiza could help their bench production. For Toronto this trade is only for Parker and Anderson who is a young prospect. McDyess is retiring so we just take his contract for that last year maybe we can work out a buyout. Bonner is only a 3 point shooter nothing else and we are lacking that he is probably the least valuable person in this trade. I believe it works out well for both teams.
Tony Parker/Jerryd Bayless
Demar DeRozan/Leandro Barbosa
Wilson Chandler/James Anderson
Ed Davis/Amir Johnson/Joey Dorsey
Enes Kanter/Matt Bonner/Alabi

bargnani one of the worst defensive bigs making 10 mill over 4, jose a 10 mill backup, and linas are almost untradeable, sry guys, very likely that all 3 are with us next year

Re: 2010-11 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread
The thing is, some other teams need to change things up. While those guys may not be a good fit on our team (I think Jose and Kleiza can be good backups), they can fit in nicely on other teams. Milwaukee, Washington, and Sacramento would probably like the idea of Bargs next to Bogut, Mcgee, Cousins. San Antonio..maybe Bargnani next to Duncan is not a bad idea under Greg friggin Popovich. He can prob get a thing or two out of Bargs.

Re: 2010-11 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread
If we get the 1st or 2nd pick, I say we try and swap picks with Utah or Cleveland (depending how far they drop)
For example,
Raptors trade: 1st overall pick
Raptors recieve from Jazz: 6th pick and 13th pick
Jazz trade: 6th pick and 13th pick
Jazz recieve from Raptors: 1st overall pick
Then the Raptors could go onto explore some other trades like
Raptors trade Jazz's 13th pick and Leandro Barbosa to Memphis for O.J. Mayo, their second round pick, and Sam Young.
Then with the 6th pick select Bismack Biyombo.
For example,
Raptors trade: 1st overall pick
Raptors recieve from Jazz: 6th pick and 13th pick
Jazz trade: 6th pick and 13th pick
Jazz recieve from Raptors: 1st overall pick
Then the Raptors could go onto explore some other trades like
Raptors trade Jazz's 13th pick and Leandro Barbosa to Memphis for O.J. Mayo, their second round pick, and Sam Young.
Then with the 6th pick select Bismack Biyombo.

I dunno man. People have been set on Kyrie for a year now, and I doubt if we win that 1st overall we're trading down...why get 2 possibly mediocre prospects when you can have the best one in the whole class.

Seriously, I didn't sit through this entire season of crappiness to possible land the 1st overall pick and securing Irving to trade it away for O.J Mayo. Heck, we even have a player in Bayless that plays like Mayo. Why would you even trade it away for the 6th and 13th pick in a really weak draft?!?! If you're going to give it away, you well be sure to unload our worst contract and then some with the pick.

Re: 2010-11 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread
Watching the Boston game and they really need a PG who can shoot. What about
Rajon Rondo + #25 for Jose Calderon + #3
They could draft a young C like Kanter and get a good shooting PG that is a pass first guard like Jose. We get a defensive PG that actually would make Bargnani passable IMO
Rondo / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa
Johnson / Klezia
Davis / Amir
Bargnani / FA / Alabi
+ #25
Calderon / Bradley
Allen / FA
Pierce / Green
KG / Davis
Kanter / Oneal
I'd add stuff to get the LAC 2012 1st added but I think they want the picks for young talent

I wouldn't do that trade if Kemba Walkler and Brandon Knight impress in workouts..

Re: 2010-11 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread
forgiveme if this came up in the prior 97 pages, but it might be more relevant with theLakers about to be ??swept"? out of the playoffs early.
They seem to be at a crossroads, with Bynum seemingly demanding and ?deserving more touches in the offense, without a second perimeter offensive weapon to stretch the defense for pau and Bynum. Phil's retiring, etc. etc.
So: being raptor-centric as I am:
I propose:
Raptors send
Bargnani (to stretch the D for Kobe and Pau)
Calderon (not for any particular reason)
Amir (I had to do this tomake salaries match)
for Bynum
Walton (to make salaries match)
There are a few other iterations of this Bynum for calderon/Bargnani trade. but I couldn't imagine L.A. doing it) I think bargnani/calderon/Alabi for blake/Bynum worked or maybe it was fisher I don't remember.
Anyway, the lakers could probablyt make a better deal than this for Bynum but It looks nice from a raps perspective. get Bynum to pair with our other Young guys (DD, davis), allows us to draft a big euro or Walker if we don't get a top 2 pick. or even if we do get a top 2 pick we still have minutes to give Irving or Williams
by the way or the trade checker on ESPN the Raps get +3 wins and the Lakers +1 win

RO7, no way BOS trades Rondo. You are severely undervaluing him.

meh i just did it based on his stats.
Rajon Rondo
11 and 11 in 37 minutes (25 years old)
Jose Calderon
10 and 9 in 31 minutes (29 years old)
so i just figured getting Kanter would be big for them and getting someone who can shoot in their offense might be good too. Also its the perfect system to mask Calderons defensive problems. Its not likely but just an idea that popped into my head.

Rondo is also a great defender.
Something that Calderon never was, and will never be.

I put this up on the trade board but it is possible.
If we doing get Irving who for me is basically the only sure thing.
Trade Amir and 1st to Phoenix for Gortat and Phoenix 1st.
Reasons in many ways the Raptors are further on rebuilding than Phoenix.
As long as Nash is in Phoenix they will not get a low draft pick except with luck.
Phoenix can draft a big and Raptors can get a player who may be a gamble but would have a possible upside Walker, Knight, Bismark etc
Raptors would be better Gortat, Davis Bargs and Dorsey would make a very decent gaggle of bigs.

That sounds reasonable and I'd be a fan of it. Moving down 10 slots to nab Gortat... I wonder if PHX would consider it though...

^^ I'm happier just drafting Kanter/Biyombo/Val and keeping Amir. Gortat is NOT worth moving our pick for imo. If we're trading our pick for a C, it better be someone like Bynum/Bogut etc.

Gortat is overrated IMO. Hes playing with Steve Nash...i mean come on. Hes good but he isnt worth moving down 10 spots for.

if brandon knight drops to that range, where he should be then i do it. But as things stand right now, there is no one in the suns pick range i like.
Knight + gortat > amir + katner
(assuming we dont get a top 2)
