OK. You could have basically posted that from the start and saved us a bunch of time.

I read that as a translation for, my fantasy Internet GM skills would serve our franchise better than the guy who cut his teeth under Jerry West.

Gotcha.

I don't need a source to have an opinion Sedale. Half of these sources are made up anyway. There was a possibility to get in the LBJ converstion just like there is a possibility to get in the Howard converstion.

West had hustle and Kupckak doesn't.

And when I say hustle, I mean moxy or get-up-and-go spirit. Kupchak would've never been able to pull off Shaq and Kobe in one summer.

Then don't preface said opinions with, "For the record..." In that case, there is no record.

If I said it, typed it, or shared it to another human being to be recorded for the sake of history, it's on record.

We're arguing semantics dude and I'm pretty sure I'm right.

We're not really arguing anything at this point. It's clear now that this was just another fantasy sideline GM rant.

Where is the fantasy?

The main idea of this thread is that Kupchak has seemed to be satisfied with the roster because of win totals and rings even though, to me, its had huge holes and chemistry issues all along.

I've stated a few times already that I don't care to discuss trades ... there all happenstance now. What I did want to discuss is the idea that Kupchak did or did not have the proper vision in constantly improving this club.

Don't twist this up because you've asked questioned that I've answered. Your lack of vision has been clear. Unfortunately now, your lack of comprehension is rearing its ugly head.

I already responded to all of that.

And please don't make me laugh about "vision." Again, it's really easy to talk about vision behind your keyboard in fantasy GM mode, as opposed to dealing with real-life constraints like the salary cap, rosters that age and grow apart, lack of assets, 29 other GMs who are trying to outwit you, etc., etc., etc.

You must've failed your science and math classes Sedale, but I fully understand salary cap, aging rosters, chemistry, and assets.

It's been clear to me for a while now the only asset we have is one of our centers.

There was no "real" improvement unless one was dealt for a PG and C/PF.

This is the math and the science of the situation. Point blank period.

If YOU cannot see ... fine.
If YOU cannot understand ... so be it.
If YOU are content with pigeon-holing your intellect ... more power to you.

You can make excuses for your own limited mind dude, but mine is boundless.

This has been a very entertaining (and one-sided) exchange. Good stuff D.

I agree with the original post that we were very lucky to win the last few titles because we had a very flawed team. The backcourt outside of Kobe has been very substandard for awhile now and I'm suprised we were able to be so successful. That said, the Gasol for LBJ was a joke right? There's no way in hell Cavs would've done that trade. I had just assumed All_Hail was kidding.

ALL HAIL......you're a very good poster, knowledgeable guy, sorry man but I hypothesize that this is nothing more than a release rant. Like Sedale stated, we've won 2 titles, been to 3 Finals....sorry bruh but I don't see how that's being broke.

Bottom line is this, 77 playoff games in 4 years on top of 82 games x 4 seasons.......about 400+ games man. We were bound to falter at some point. We make a few tweaks, get some rest to heal injuries, come back to camp with hunger and proceed to snap necks and run over anything in our path.

Gonna be a long summer and what we say here won't fix the team, no matter how good the idea is in our head.
