Lets just hope there is a season next year. Get the new deal signed and lets not have the NFL screw ups they are doing.

Barnes is awesome, especially given his inexpensive contract. I just wish, though, that we could unload Shannon, Blake and Walton somewhere...Anywhere.

Great news. I love his game. He is a tough nosed defender. He is a perfect backup for the 3.

I don't understand all the hate on Brown though. I know his shooting touch was off, but who's shot wasn't off?
This team is sorely missing atheletic talent, and Brown has speed and can jump out of the gym. I would keep him as well.

He held the ball for ridiculous lengths of time. I think that Michael Pietrus could replace much of his lost athleticism and be a far smarter player for the Lakers as well as a better defender.

I assume you are talking about Brown. I agree. He did hold the ball a lot. But there were times that the second unit just stopped and watched him. Much like the first unit with Kobe.
I agree with you about Pietrus. I really like his game. But I don't see how the Lakers can get him.

MLE I suppose. I think the PG choice will make a big difference and the coach has to be decided upon. I like Baron Davis more than others (if he becomes a FA), because you need a scoring PG as well as a guy that can guard 2s like Shannon did. Baron fulfills both roles.

Then you need a true backup SG like a David Lighty in the draft.
