My order of preference

1. Lawrence Frank
2. Dwayne Casey
3. Kevin McHale

It's really 1A and 1B with me with the first two guys. Frank and Casey are both highly regarded in this league. I felt that Frank got shafted in New Jersey his last season there when he got fired after an 0-16 start. The good upside is that he coached Terrence Williams whom I am a fan of. Maybe he could give him time as a backup if we hire him.

He was the one that changed from a Sooners fan to an Aggies fan to a Longhorns fan, right?

None of the coaches available are good enough. Mchale is a question mark, but apart from him being boring during tnt game talks, he has a wealth of bball knowledge. Not impressed with casey or frank. What has frank done except made the nets worst?

Went on a 14-game winning streak when he took over. Made the playoffs his first four years. Made 3 conference semifinals appearances in those four years.

Agreed, and this is what makes him such an intriguing candidate. He might be a crappy GM, but I think he could be what Larry Bird was when Bird was the head coach for the Pacers.

if you're looking for coach with good experience
then there's no good candidate other than phil jackson, adelman, larry brown, jeff van gundy
but you just need to give opportunity to someone sometime
all of these coaches are nobody when they first start coaching
you just need to give people chance

Agreed, Doc was a mediocre coach (at best) before he landed the Big 3 1/2. I personally think he's still a lucky mediocre coach, but hey, that's just me.

I would be fine with McHale for the time being but I fear he couldn't resist being a backseat GM. As long as Morey has a giant red veto button mounted to his desk we shouldn't turn into the Timberwolves. Hopefully.

This is where it gets interesting. I'm curious to see if anyone other than the rumored 3 gets a second interview.

Is it wrong for me to want a black coach?

Getting closer...

TNT analyst Kevin McHale will get another interview with the Houston Rockets as the team completes a second round of sitdowns this week with the three finalists for its coaching vacancy, according to sources close to the process.

The Rockets have already interviewed Boston Celtics assistant coach Lawrence Frank and Dallas Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey twice, sources said.

After McHale's second interview, sources said, Rockets officials are expected to name their successor to Rick Adelman.

KRIV-TV (FOX 26) in Houston reported that Frank's second interview with the Rockets was conducted Monday. The Rockets also completed a second interview with Casey late last week while the Mavericks while were waiting to find out their opponent in the Western Conference finals, which begin Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Dallas on ESPN.

Source close to the situation tells me that McHale and Casey are neck and neck in that race for Rockets job with Frank third

Why McHale. He has done nothing and has about as much experience in coaching as Ellie or Shaw. Hiring Mchale is a hugh failure
