Petersen to Munich is a done deal.
He'll end up like Schlaudraff and Baumjohann.

I'm going to take this moment to celebrate 1 FC Union staying the second division, one of these years I'll actually get to catch some Union games as they'll make it to top division soon...at some point...eventually?...

DFB Pokal Finals tonight, Schalke is heavily favored vs 2nd league Duisburg, who are missing 3-4 important players.

Re: 2010/11 Bundesliga-Thread
I have a feeling that Duisburg pulls the major upset today.
Some transfers news:
Gündogan to Dortmund. They want to buy Perisic as well and have been rumored to go after Podolski but club officials quickly denied that.
Neuer to Munich might be annouced after the Cup Final.
Ottl and Kraft join Hertha BSC.
Petersen to Munich is official.
My Mainzer reached a deal with Choupo-Moting. I'm not really a fan of him but he fits the young, talented and low-cost profile we have.
Bremen is rumored to be interested in Lukas Schmitz from Schalke 04.
Wolfsburg wants another player from the Serie A, Riccardo Montolivo.
Clubs slowly start to pick up with transfer activities.

22 minutes in the game and Schalke is already leading 2-0. Neuer is having more trouble mending his hair than actually touching a ball.

I've watched minutes 25-40 before having a shower and Duisburg actually played well there and should've scored a goal or two lol. Just not clever enough.

You can watch (and vote for) the best goals of the season here: http://bundesliga.de/de/tordesspieltags ... saison.php
Cool kids obviously vote for Julian Schuster...
And next years second division will be... let's say interesting. Frankfurt, Union Berlin, Pauli, Rostock and Dresden in one league? Let's start a petition to get Offenbach in the league too and we'd have at least one explosive derby every weekend.

Gladbach has fought off Bochum in the playdowns, meaning that Marco Reus will probably stay in Gladbach

Yeah, let's also add Rot-Weiß Essen, Sachsen and Lok Leipzig and BFC Dynamo Berlin. I would hate a job as a policeman

Bayern desperately need wingbacks, he might end up there.
Our Nationalelf is going to play their last two EC quali matches (vs Austria and Azerbeijan) before the summer break. Schweinsteiger and S. Bender are injured. Höwedes is possibly debuting, here a possible starting 11:
Neuer - Lahm, Friedrich, Hummels, Aogo - Müller, Khedira, Träsch, Özil - Klose, Podolski
Comment: we are SOLIDLY set on almost every position but center back. Old man Friedrich is the by far most reliable guy, neither Hummels, Badstuber, Boateng, Mertesacker or Westermann have played well in the Nationalelf recently.
Comment 2: no Michael Ballack, that guy is done as a German national player.

Re: 2010/11 Bundesliga-Thread
I think Hummels and Boateng will form a nice center back duo for years to come. Badstuber is hot garbage just like Mertesacker and Westermann, IMO.
There are also rumors that Munich has already agreed to terms with Jerome Boateng.
However Munich and ManCity seem to disagree badly about the transfer fee. Munich wants to pay like 6 mil. (for a player that cost 12 mil. a year ago
) and City wants 15 mil. €
Ballack should just retire.
The ongoing talk about Ballack in the media is freaking annoying.

I'm really looking forward to next season. I'd love to see Pauli vs. Rostock and Dynamo vs. Rostock live.

Re: 2010/11 Bundesliga-Thread
Bayern has bought right back Rafinha for 6m Euro, which means that Lahm will defend on the left side now - which he is perfectly capable of. Next on their TODO list: Neuer and J. Boateng. Klose would like to leave Bayern, but they apparently won't let him (yet).
My 1. FCK has apparently bought Richard Sukuta-Pasu. He was supposed to be the next Mario Gomez but injuries have derailed his career. Also, we are in serious talks with 2 Israeli internationals, ST Itay Shechter and MF Gil Vermouth. If they come, I hope they become studs like A. Cohen in Nuremberg and not busts like Colautti/Alberman in Gladbach.

Re: 2010/11 Bundesliga-Thread
Neuer to Bayern is done, Munich shelled out 18m "plus bonuses" for him. In return, Schalke has reacquired GK Ralf Fährmann (Frankfurt), who was the sole bright spot on the crappy Eintracht squad this year.
