Like the new matchup, but want some more info on Brock. Is this as bad as his initial go around?

Brock is insisting that it is not as bad as his first go around and that his career is not in jeopardy. Dana seemed less sure.

i haven't read much into this, but aren't Brock's options to either let it heal naturally (like he did before) or get surgery? i would guess surgery would be more risky in terms of jeopardizing his future in mma, but not doing anything would make him much less effective down the line AND possibly cause many more health risks.

terrible news, hope he comes back soon and healthy.

I actually like this fight better, but bummed to see Brock go out. Hope he gets it taken care of soon. The UFC needs him, as does the worldwide HW division.

The sportscaster here for the morning show said the opposite, that it was potentially career threatening. MMA journalism is surprisingly pathetic in Canada, so take that with a grain of salt.

Yea basically, after two attacks most people would usually opt for a sigmoid resection but obviously a person in Brock's case would have other things to consider. Hopefully he has a quick recovery

It's pretty unlikely that it would be career threatening but he probably won't be back until 2012
