I see us taking 2 out of 3 here. Hopefully Romero has a good outing.

You could argue the Jays have the pitching advantage in each of those games, with the way Pavano is going right now.

Never underestimate how bad Reyes can be, Randle, you know that.

CXT's PREDIK-SHUNZ

3 game **** sweep. Don't like any of the pitchers Minnesota is sending to the bump... and I also don't like Yo-Yo Reyes, but unbelievably, I like Pavano even less.

Wonder how the Canadian rookie will do. Tosoni or whatever is name is. Morneau actually had a decent game today too, maybe he starts to turn it around soon, he's too good to be this bad.

STILL - 3 game sweep. 1 hail delay. 1 Gardenhire ejection. E5 will go yard.

Has anyone been listening to Bob Mccown, hes been going off on the last 2 days about how Arencibia isnt good defensively. Has anyone else noticed this or is he just saying this to stir up trouble.

Didnt wanna start my own topic for this so just wrote it here...

He's been going on about how Escobar is a baby cause he left the game after being hit on the ankle/shin and he isn't professional because he missed one bunt sign.

McCown is an idiot.

The Twins can't hit, not even a tiny little bit. 1174ABs for a .296/.325/.622 obp/slg/ops line. There's Jason Kubel (.947 OPS) and 10ABs of a day-to-day Trevor Plouffe (1.162 OPS) and that's really it. Span's the only other active guy with an OPS over .700 and among the many injured only Thome had an above .600 OPS.

Granted with all the injuries very few guys have even the 100 ABs to begin to use these types of numbers (not saying they're valid to judge a player's actual performance even then, but I really shouldn't use them before that), but a team OBP under .300 through 35 games is terribad. If Reyes stinks it up against these massive bags of suck, it'll really finally and truly be time to go another route, even for his ardent supporters. These guys make MacDonald/Cooper/Davis trio that ended the no-no look like heart of the order candidates. Okay, not quite that bad, but that team is one massive collection of slump.

Yes, McCown is an idiot. Arencibia has been a shade above league-average against base-stealers, fairly good at blocking the plate and receiving relays, and somewhat poor at blocking pitches. He isn't a stellar defender, but neither is he particularly poor.

And he's doubly idiotic concerning Escobar. Heh, if I saw a third base coach calling for a squeeze bunt in the 4th inning of a game where we were pounding the starting pitcher, I'd probably ignore it out of principle.

yep he does this quite often. he's sees a misplay and he'll go on and on about it. i don't think he actually sits in front of his tv and watches games in their entirety, so his judgement is based on whatever happens in the few minutes he does watch. too many times does bob come off like he has no idea what he's talking about, but for some reason i still listen to him, pretty much everyday.

edit* it doesn't make him less of an idiot regarding baseball analysis, but fwiw he did apologize today for coming off like he thinks arencibia sucks - which he said he does not.
